good to see the effort your giving recovery continues to reward you in many ways.
Living on a shoestring becomes the normal through the progression of our addiction, that frugal life often continues long into recovery.
The one huge difference,we don't add to the carnage we self made we do indeed gift ourselves a 100% payrise.
Enjoy it.

Hi Ya Blondie, great news with your pay rises 🙂
I see you're in agreement with Ginge being the go to Guru, guess it's not just me getting all a muddle 😉
HD, it sure turned out nice again - Juuuuuune
Dear diary,
My son has rung me twice today(the one down south with heavy gambling problems) he normally rings about once every ten days.
My heart dropped when I answered because I thought he had slipped, I could not have been further wrong, he was up together (I could tell by the tone of his voice) he was at work, but rang to tell me something about work, and at the end he told me he loved me, and then he rang an hour later to continue telling me something about work, and again told me he loved me, now my conclusion to my conversations with him, totally through the tone of his voice and his attitude, he has turned a corner with his gambling, this is the son who was dire straits before Xmas, and I did not lend him a penny, simply because I know where it would have gone, and yet when I was in the oblivion of gambling, I had no second thoughts in ( lending giving him money)! so in my recovery I am gifting my son as well as me. I have been totally honest with him about me, and he opened up to me, ( but obviously I knew, It) strangely before I knew about myself.
My recovery is gifting even more me because my son is progressing, and that will certainly do for today.
Suzanne xx
What fantastic news 🙂 Long may he stay strong too! It really did turn out nice again - HD!
I'm A, ok 🙂 Working full time plays havoc with my posting so I have lost a bit of impetuous! I was toying with the idea of taking a break completely but no need to punish myself eh 😉 The pact with Sandra has improved my sleeping a little (although I have had yukky earky starts this week so I am tired & grumpy) & I have also tried to stay away from the site when I am working as it's a bit of a distraction to say the least (it is possible that someone asked if I may need to see the doctor for my bladder problem :-0)! I will see how a few days off goes & then update my diary if I think a step back is on the cards!
You keep winning & making me smile ODAAT - Juuuuuune
Thanks for your post back to me Suzanne, right now i am a broken man, you kind thoughts mean so much to me, catch you soon. - Paul

Hi Suzanne,
Just read your post about your son.
Sounds like you are both getting stronger each day.
Keep strong and thanks for your constant support.
Have a great weekend.

Thanks all for your lovely supportive messages xx
Good morning diary.
298 days of winning, by taking one day at a time every single day.
Really feel for yet another friend on here who had the door open and went in, but he has come such a long way now, am sure he will be marching strongly in his recovery. Even if a little wounded. I simply hate this addiction. and what it can do to each and everyone of us if we let our guard slip.
I want to thank each and everyone of you for the support I receive every day on this forum, and thank those people that give it me off here, all this support strengthens my resolve more every day.
My OH calls this site my bible, I call it a godsend lol.
Sooo I have the wheels today, food shopping is on the agenda, and I think I am going to treat my OH to a surprise dinner, something we have not had for a long time, STEAK, and red wine, sos NT but I have fancied this meal since you posted it earlier in the week and I can do this because I have the pennies lol.
Wishing everyone a strong positive and happy gambling free FRIDAY, and I sure hope it turns out nice for each and everyone of us
It's a tough journey at times, but it sure is worth the hard work.
Suzanne xx
Steak and red wine sounds amazing.
I have to say personally this website offers so much and is like a digital form of a proper diary I guess just made easier because I hate using pens.
For me at the moment it is so upsetting seeing peope in the new members section with there life literally in tatters , I realise any form of gambling addiction is bad but for some they have lost the lot family included think I realise how lucky I really am at the moment.
Well done on 298 days not out , I hope you have something special planned for Sunday 300 days for me would be cause for massive celebration.
Hear ya inviting your new found friends for the dinner! :-)..yummmm!! Steakkkkkkk :-))))
Enjoy my friend and keep choosing no! Am softie today cause tired lol so just wonna tell ya once again how proud i am of you and your continued journey to better future. Am blessed for this opportunity to walk this road beside ya 🙂
HD for ya my friend!!
