Well done on 155 days and ty for continued support. Hope you start having less days feeling stressed as you don't deserve to feel that way after all your efforts

Keep going Suzanne, great to hear you clearing debts and feeling better for it. Love reading stories of people who are further on than me along this journey and in a better place, gives us hope and strength to carry on.

Yeah its a great feeling paying off loans make sure you don't get any more for gambling. Imagine the feeling when you have no gambling debts left to pay. I personally cant wait till I have paid off about 8 grand but that's about 2 and half years down the line but as long as I don't gamble everything will be fine because the debt is getting manageable and I have excepted that they no getting it back and they more to life than money anyway

Good morning diary,

156 days and still winning, because I have not spent a penny on any form of gambling.

Work today, fairly short shift, so that's ok.

House sparkling, as I threw myself into heavy housework yesterday, and I always feel better when house is up together and that did not cost me a penny lol.

Continuing to abstain and maintain one day at a time, and slowly but surely life is getting soo much better.

Wishing everyone a happy positive and strong gambling free day.

Good morning diary,

157 days.

Late shift today but still up early.

It's a good feeling to still have money in my bank the day before payday, so that has to be sooo positive for me because I feel am moving forwards.

Carrying on forwards and upwards abstaining and maintaining one day at a time.

Life is definitely calmer today.

Wishing everyone a strong happy and peaceful gambling free day.

Morning Suzanne.

Doesn't it feel great to have some money in the bank just before payday!

The more you abstain the more you will have the next payday.

You are doing so well. Be very proud of yourself.

Hi Suzanne,

Go and treat yourself with the money you have saved before pay day, there is no better feeling. I don't have much but going shopping today and its feels amazing to at least have 20 to get some things.

Take care

Thanks Steve and James.

I had 40 left in my bank this morning(left money in bank last month and it worked I did not gamble )

I have 12 cash in my purse and it's payday tomorrow.

So I have paid another payday loan off BEFORE pay day.

I have now paid FIVE PD loans off in less than 6 months.

I never thought I would be able to do this but I have.

It goes to show debts DO get paid off once we abstain, it can be done as long as we don't gamble.

I feel quite proud of myself today to have done and dusted 5 PD loans and was able to keep my money in the bank.

Not ready to treat myself yet, want/need to pay off PD loans first.

3 left on my name, 2 will be paid off next pay day.

Shamefully I had 3 on OHs name, which he is paying out of his own wage, 2 will be finished next month too.

The beginning of November will be totally different money wise for both of us, we will be able to have normal money again, and be able to treat ourselves again.

All this will be paid off before I am made redundant.

It can be done I am doing it.

All my ups and downs over the last 157 days have really been worth it.

Debt through gambling is so traumatic but it can be paid off, keep going everyone abstaining and winning and therefore chipping away at that debt.

Life is certainly looking up, happy days indeed.

Well done Suzanne,

Those days are fairly clocking up and the loans are coming down!

Everything going in the right direction.

November will be a great month for you. Just in time for the cold dark nights. They will be all the brighter and warmer without the G word.

Enjoy it all, it is well deserved.

Hi Suzzane

Thanks for the post on my forum.

Isn't it a great feeling to pay off loans. I paid off a five year loan caused by gambling last year and it feels amazing.

Well done. Keep it up and you'll clear them all off in no time.

Thanks Suzy and Craig,

Good morning diary

158 days and not a single penny spent on any form of gambling.

Pay day today, and it is quite a relief to see less money going out of my account for PD loans.

It's such a positive feeling to have a little more spare money as each month goes by.

It certainly makes me even more determined to keep abstaining and maintaining and starving that self destructive addiction.

I am aware that having spare money could be dangerous but I have my blocks still well in place, no access to a laptop,(that partner in crime I have not seen since April, son has it now) and don't have a password still for OHs computer.

I don't have any desire to play on my I pad, I keep telling myself it would not be the same so it's not a threat.

Having said all that I have no wish or desire to gamble anyway, I will not go back to those dark horrible years of destruction not only to me but my family.

My OH really has been such a rock, I will not let him down again.

I am feeling stronger and more clearheaded by the day,

and that does feel soooo positive for me.

Another late shift today and then an early tomorrow, but hey only 24 working days left in my job.

Me gamble today, NO WAY.

Onwards and forwards to a much better life, gambling free of course.

Wishing everyone a strong and positive gambling free day.

Suzanne xx
