Eek, just realised I may have wished a day of your life away, soz...Keep it in the bag for tomorrow as I'm sure you will get there 🙂

Those transactions on the statements are so depressing...I am determined that this year is the last tax return I do where I have to look @ them, all those zeros in the withdrawal column whilst scrimping to save 10 pence in the supermarket 🙁

Keep negotiating those bumps in the road, they can come out of nowhere but they become easier to get over - ODAAT

That's now my focus, the slip highlighted weeknesses which have now been taken care of. Roll on pay day and hopefully I can get through the emotional backlash (dreams, anxiety etc) again now I know what the first week is going to be like.

Staying strong, positive and not giving up on giving up

Hi Rednow
Have read your diary and it looks like you have dealt with the triangle. Dealing with the emotions takes longer as you like me seem to use gambling as an emotional crutch.
You will have good and bad days but you are learning that more gambling will not help.
Each day of abstaining will give you a bit more strength to face the urges and fight this.
I wish you continued resolve and enjoy your weekend
Cheryl xx

Thanks so much for the post Cheryl, your diary is what really made me face up to my problem with gambling and how I try to ignore my problems with gambling! And thank you NT. I'm looking forward and trying to stay strong.

I'm struggling too, Red. The only time I don't gamble is when I don't have any money, but this has a huge impact on the rest of my life. No money for food or anything.

Stay committed. You'll get there. With every slip you're learning your urges. You'll soon get to the point where these urges can be controlled instead of them controlling you.

All the best.

Feeling a bit lost and down today - generally stressing about money, work and making it to next payday but no urges to gamble.

Winning. Will not give up on giving up

Well done red, probably feel same as you do right now with my mega slip up, I haven't paid rent yet and I'm in a desperate situation right now. It truely just gets worse and worse the more you continue gambling, hope your ok, we can do this together.
Mr gamble can take a jump of a cliff lol.

Thanks guys 🙂

No urges to gamble today and just cancelled a credit card so no chance of using the money I've paid off of it. Had a reasonably productive day so now having an earned rest.

Stay strong - still winning

Great move Red, every card/ debt you pay off cancel, because if we don't it is a big temptation and leaves doors open to feed the addiction, don't leave an inch open,

Keep strong and keep winning.
