My Diary - Day by Day

I second ODAAT'S emotion :-)...Ginger.

Had a really aweful day and all I have thought about is gambling! Have been really good tho and not given in and then reading ur diary again has reminded me that I need a reward as I'm coming up to one week. Has made me feel like I have something to look forward to so thanks.

Well done Rednow and enjoy your reward. Have to catch up on my own as soon as I get time. Not saying that i havent thought aout gambling at all but its getting easier and i really just dont have the time.

Day 88 - 2/5/15

another day nearly done get closer to a century now. Never imagined I could get this far. So much happier not wasting my money 😉

Yesterday felt on a high and no thoughts of gambling. Woke up today feeling drained and tired. Didnt think about gambling until a few hours ago. Suppose its habit ritual. On a Saturday would play all evening and Sunday afternoon online. So watching Britains Got Talent and eating!! will have to look at my diet from tomo as when gambling wouldnt think about food, just coffee to keep me awake. Dont want to end up a Porky. Do love going to Car boots so will start going again on a Sunday afternoon, love bargains. Would get a high from getting something for 50p but thought nothing of spending an wasting hundreds online? seems insane. Little niggle bothers me that I cant get my losses back but am aware that I would justify spending more money and get my losses back but would still carry on until i lost. Could never understand why i Couldnt cash out. If I had been capable of this then gambling could have been a pleasure but suppose thats why it is an addiction that gets out of control and then becomes a misery. Reading others diaries, we do all seem to have the same traits, winning, losing chasing. Always thinking we can beat the system. So many other people fill their lives with other non destructive things so I am hoping I can become just a normal human being and lead a fulfilled life. Dont want regrets.

Day 89 - 3/5/15

Officially Baby Due Day (although i have her already 10 days old) and another reward day for 3 months gamble free!!!

I will give myself my rewards just as soon as I get time 🙂 Thanks for the comments I just had to share her with you. Although i dont have the time to gamble i still get an intrinsic urge for that 'adrenaline rush' you get from winning although i know we are always the losers in the end. Another bit of good news is that i am pretty sure the OH hasnt gambled for at least 2 weeks either - just hasnt had time i suppose. I hope this is the beginning of the end for him too

Keep going guys - you are always 1 day away from success or failure so just take it ODAAT 🙂

Day 90 - 4/5/15

A very early morning post (night feed) My little daughter is nocturnal and mommy getting no sleep. Just 10 more days to a century. Dont think i could ever go back now. My baby is my motivation xxx

Day 91 - 5/5/15

Morning Guys - hope you are all still winning. Surprised i had a little niggle last night to gamble but overcame it. 'Cravings' less strong and last for less now so easier to resist. This no gambling thing really does affect your bank balance too - think its just taken the 3 months to recover from the last gambling spree and hopefully I can live more comfortably now 🙂

hi wants2stop think you are doing really well. New baby wow congrats. I remember gambling when I was pregnant and obviously when baby was born wanted to go out and splurge but couldnt as no funds! so once that bank balance builds up its a lovely feeling to be able to treat both you and new addition. From reading others posts think those niggles rear their ugly head every now and then but like you say they are getting easier to resist. I have put K9 on my devices and am please with the result. Have tested it to see if block the sites and they do! again well done
