Day 16 - 19/2/2015

The OH was very impressed when he got home at how much i had done - just goes to show what you can do when your not wasting time gambling. (He even said not to do too much being as i am pregnant lol now thats a first)

Working 12-8pm next 5 days so wouldnt really have the opportunity to gamble so hopefully its going to be easier.

Still have the dreaded Friday to worry about where OH gets paid (and usually loses his wages) but fingers crossed

Have a good day everyone 🙂

Woo hoo progress 🙂 Let's hope he comes through on pay day! I was thinking, have you considered maybe putting a little bit by for baby by opening a passbook account so it's not easily accessed...I bet you could find one that you only need a few pounds to open it with & if he sees you doing this, he may be tempted!

Hope work is good! Keep strong - ODAAT

Day 17 - 20/2/15

Hi ODATT - I am aiming to save 10'000 for her by her 18th (a big aim considering my savings are 15.00 and debts are nearly 10'000) got a plan and everything (starting off small and building up) Been looking into accounts and the like and i think i am going to choose a Junior ISA which is inaccessible to withdraw from until she is 18 (and then only by her). The account can only be opened once i have a birth certificate though. However that wont be long now. Due in 10 weeks and 2 days but due to the gestational diabeties the consultant said they are going to induce me early.

The OH did stay up till past midnight last night when his wages go in - I went to bed just before 12 but couldnt drop off to sleep probably due to worring if he was gambling or not. I got up at some point to go to the toilet and popped my head round (we live in a flat) and saw he was gambling 🙁 Dont know the amount of damage yet as i couldnt speak to him when he came to bed as i was annoyed with him. Although i checked my bank this morning and he has sent me my money. Was really anxious last night worrying about him and i couldnt get back off to sleep either 🙁

Anyway got to think positive - so easy for me to give in but I am not going to - at least one of us needs to be in control! Thinking positive to the future - If i carry on the road to recovery i can see a light at the end of the tunnell. Hopefully one day i will have paid off all my debts (which will make my day to day living a little easier)

Good Day to All xxx

Day 18 - 21/2/15

Only 6 days away from my 4th Goal 🙂

OH didnt spend all his money yesterday he left himself 120 pound which is an improvement on his usual activities. He withdrew the money so that he couldnt do it again this week.

Feeling positive i can keep this up with a bit of determination 🙂

Well done on 18 days. You are doing really well.

To stay in recovery always, you will need a 100% determination, my friend, a bit of determination won't be enough if you are in it for the long haul.

Keep positive and strong

Suzanne xx

Thanks Suzanne 🙂

Feeling more positive everyday. Seems like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now. I am 100% determined but still find myself tempted. The actions I have been taking so far are working.

Keep up the good work everyone 🙂
