Evening Diary,

Day 249 - Just a quick stop off to say no gambling today not given it a second thought until I popped on! I like to spare it a thought even if just once a day! Feel safer knowing its close!

Day 249 - Xmas excitement builds!

Good Afternoon,

Day 250 - Another one of those numbers that looks great written down. Moving toward that first bet free year slowly but very surely. 2013 will be the first full calendar year bet free but April the 9th will be the first 365 days done. That will be a really brilliant day for me and I only mention it today because a friend at GA last night reached his 365th day. Real achievement for a man who had gambled like myself from a very young age.

Tonight it is the works Xmas night out and will be as thrilling as ever I am sure. I will go and eat my free food and a drink but as I'm not a drinker I will just laugh at those who are making a complete t*t of themselves.

Also out Sunday this week, an early Xmas present so another pretty full weekend. Certainly helps to keep busy.

Morning Diary,

Day 251 - Argh Time!! It is so slippery constantly getting away. I wanted to get round lots of friends this morning but you know me wittering on managed about 3 :)!! Will have more time this afternoon I hope.

Works night out was a laugh actually. Ill be honest and say in the past I have left early and couldn't get away quickly enough. It must be a bi-product of not gambling because last night I was amongst the last to leave and although it's a mixed crowd it actually became a decent night.

After my GA meeting the other night I had a little thought about running a very short thread and I mean Short!! Boxing Day!! It was a recurring theme the other night with people either having previously slipped or for newer people working toward a first bet free Boxing Day! I will post a suggestion and see if people are interested.

Right, on with the day, football we are top of our league and playing against the team in second so a big pre xmas match.

Glad you had a good night out. Its nice to be able to enjoy things properly now. I never could whilst gambling becuase i could never switch that part of me off. Hope the footy went well - didnt realise you were top of the league, impressive.

Im also popping in to thank you for the great work you do on this site the thread 4 xmas you are running is great and you run it in a way with no pressure put on people and if somebody has a slip they are still able to stay on the thread you are very flexible from what i can see.

Day 252 - Thank you everyone for the continued support 🙂

Strange day yesterday just couldn't quite get going. Think that's why I don't go out too much, struggle to recover!! Played football drew so stay top of the league. Pitch would have been better used for off road driving but we played anyway.

Much better today more life in me and off out this evening early xmas present to see a comedian I like. Then the final working week of 2012 begins. That will fly by before I take on the crowds for a final xmas shop. Glad I don't have much to do but would prefer having nothing to do.

On top of all that it's a the end of another bet free week so my progress continues.

Day 252 - 36 Weeks!

Thanks for the post and the continued support , time does fly and in some respects thats great for us but sometimes a little scary how fast it does go , thats why we just need to enjoy life to the best we can

The strides u av made forward this year is amazing u go from strength to strength and av such a positive outlook and av the ability to pass that on to others I know iv always found it so helpful and am sure others do to

Next year is gonna be a great year for hopefully many of us on here but who knows what will come our way , all we can do is keep making the right choices in life and live life to the full

Day 253 - Beginning of another week but this week is great because it's the run up to Xmas 🙂 still got loads going on and loads to do pre xmas but it's all really good and a far cry from previous years.

Still not totally in the groove with posting but sure it will return sooner rather than later.

Day 253 - 8 Days to go!!

Get into the groove boy you gota prove your love to me lol... I think there the lyrics to that cheesy madonna song lol...

God im showing my age now.. Talking of which nice to see your posts as always me old mucker lol.

I have so much still to do its scarey but I know it will all come together as i have planned it with great precision, so for once no panic or stress just a calm reassuring smile that its all in hand and actually if something gets missed or goes wrong its not the end of the world.

Hope your count down this week is an easy one that clock is ticking down to 2013 and the end of our latest chllange which has and continues to keep me focused. I not only feel accountable to my friends on gamcare but I take great pride now in continuing to clock up those gamble free days.
