Hey Flagg

You prob couldn't cope with my finely honed badminton skills! You'd need to be able to giggle and P**f like a middle aged unfit Glaswegian for a whole hour 🙂

277 days- fantastic!

speak soon

Irene

Morning Diary,

Day 278 - Actually have loads to do today. Main concern is motivating myself to get it done. Even posting right now is a little way of putting work off for another 5 minutes :)!

Good thing is it's now Friday. Weekends are now absolutely priceless for me and I love that feeling driving home on Friday afternoons. Really not sure that feeling was ever there whilst gambling. Funny how you don't have to look too far for a positive when you stop.

Enjoy the weekend all,

Day 278 - Friday Happy!

Morning,

Day 279 - Up early for football hopefully we will play but the ground does look pretty solid so maybe not. If it is called off that would present me with a free Saturday morning which I haven't had since fairly on in recovery. This is something I am aware of and I will make sure I stay busy to avoid any thoughts or urges.

Other than that it's check in Saturday for the January thread. Must admit they come thick and fast with double check ins and then the 2013 thread having it's first check in this weekend too. I quite like it personally as this is a challenging month particularly from a financial perspective so having plenty to focus on really keeps my eye on the ball.

Day 279 - It's cold outside!

Morning,

Day 280 - Thanks for the posts everyone :). Well football was on yesterday infact conditions were pretty good. Anyway we won so it means we have a 7 point lead at the top of the league so things looking good. Being a bit crazy I am off to play again today. Nothing competitive though just a kick around between friends. I guess really the point is I keep busy at weekends which lessons the gambling thoughts.

Not much else to say today, I too am finding January tougher and a bit slow but on the flip side I have complained many times about time going too quickly so really I'm just difficult to please and need to stop moaning.

Have a good day all,

Day 280 - More football in the cold!

Morning my friend, you never cease to amaze me footie 2 days on the trot in the freezing cold, your commitment to footie is nearly as impressive as your commitment to your recovery. I have always admired what you do, and I think you quite rightly sit at the top of the gamcare league as well. Take care enjoy the footie . Blondie x

Hi Flagg

Congrats on your days!

Maybe the tent's not such a great idea- temp dropped and had some snow- coffee and biccy will need to suffice!

Sounds like you're having a very energetic weekend- putting me to shame (unless drunk dancing counts lol). Middle aged badminton/laughter therapy tomorrow!

Take care

Irene

Morning Diary,

Day 281 - Been a really good start to Monday morning. Just had a spare 45 minutes so got round a few diaries. Not been doing that so regularly recently so that has perked me up.

Quick glance at the calendar today shows pay day is a little bit closer thankfully. This really is a tough long hard slog of a month. No problem getting through it one day at a time but those days roll around just that bit slower when you need them to speed up!

Other than that though everything is absolutely fine and before I know it April will be upon us might have mentioned a trip to Barcelona once or twice!

Day 281 - Good for a Monday!
