Great stuff Dean.

I'm onto day 2. Not going to lie, had spare time today and I've spare cash at the minute which makes it more tempting but if you take one of the following away (Money, Location, Time) it's impossible to gamble. So I went for a nice walk with no money on me!

I hope to post back in 55 days and be in the same position as you!

Keep it up mate

Annon1....it just gets better every day...that feeling of pride, belief, honesty & every other possitive emotion I've missed out on for the last 30+ years....this site and all of the people on it really want to share your success stories, so keep posting and remind yourself that you can do it, one day at a time!!! Good lad ( or lady!)

Great work today Deanyboy...Did you have meatballs? I just can't help myself when I go there 😉

I damaged myself for almost the same number of years so I know the pride you are feeling now! Remember how good this feels next time the urges try anything!

Keep winning - ODAAT

Duncs...Long may it continue...what a great site this is, all sharing our thoughts, fears and SUCCESS!!!

You find everyone will kick you down, but this site pulls us back up, & brushes you off for the next attack, but stands with you helping, instead of standing idly by pretending to care!!!

Thanks everyone...:-)

Hey Deanyboy hope that you are continuing to enjoy life and move forward in your recovery. Thanks for your diary, your story like so many others on this website is an inspiration. It seems to me that I have only taken baby steps at the bottom of a very tall mountain and that the journey is going to be long and hard, but hearing positive news, like your story, gives me hope.

Take care

Stu

Hi Stu, thanks for your support, it's great to know that people connect and are concerned we stay strong...we're all climbing that mountain, the difference is, we have a rope that we are all connected to each other as a fall back, we all care as we're all in this together....you're not alone, everyone needs help, some more than others, so share, talk and post your possitive stories and advise! Keep strong and do not let go of that rope!!!!!!
