Hi Diary,

Day 47.....god im getting old!!!!

Met Bestie ......We had originally planned to go out today for the long haul.......But she was skint and I had my son coming so we just met briefly.

Good to catch up........Quite irrelevent (sp) but we both love NANDOS...I managed to pick up a hot and spicy nandos rub from sainsburys.......used it the other night....dribbling now at the thought......never knew chicken could taste that good........top that with the garlic sauce......Come on now who needs nandos when you can eat at "Wombles kitchen"........Duncs...eat your heart out......You have competition!!!

Well gonna cook spag bol tonight...sons fav........Can you tell i'm hungry!

Am seriously getting withdrawl symptoms.....no tv for ...this will be third day.......Love the olympics.........Hope son can do my tv!

Am on a real waffle today!

So for today I will not Gamble!

Sue xx

Hip,hip,horray

I was beginning to worry, that your only option to fill your time , would be traveling to Wimbledon, bin bags in hand .

Under ground , over ground ..............

Instead there you will be ......

sitting , feet on the puffy, cup of rosey lee in hand ( china cup of course)

Ready to sing rule britaina when the need arises .

Hello o wombly one, just popping in to say hey. 🙂

I'm loving the olympics too - glad your telly got fixed! Got to admit to never having had nandos though, is it spicy coated chicken?

I think you're doing great, the womble has got what it takes! 🙂

Sue.

Thanks for your post, i have to say i dont know how it took me so long but i have this morning read your diary from start to end and will say just this, sue you are giaving all to recovery and i know this will serve you well in the quest to abstain,to boot if you cook with half thati passion i equally know it would taste great. Next time you make your nandos,do it with a whole chook, and get a can of any good ale (tangle foot is good) and stand the bird on it like a trivit.either roast in hot oven for an hour or foil and stand on bbq. It bastes from the inside and is great fun. What for me life gamble free should and can be.

Keep making the choice just for today no bet

duncs stepping forward never back.

Hi Diary,

Day 49

Feel like a fraud today. Was sent home from work yesterday...........Felt like c**P.......was told to not bother to come in today....and they would see me Monday!

So sat in bed with lap top, tv on.......looking forward to day of olympics!

Had a really interesting conversation with my lad yesterday (he knows nothing about my addiction)

We were chatting about spicy foods..............I adore them, hotter the better........son cant take anything spicy. Apparently....as son informed me......chillis release pain endorphins as they trick the brain....resulting in a dopamine high.

So guys....Wombles way of fighting the urge........Always carry bag of chillis!

Hi Sue

Hope you feel better soon and rest up ..xx.

SO true about the chillis ..one of the hottest in the world grown in the lake district called the Naga Viper!! ...

Would need an asbestos mouth to eat it.

No wonder they seem all chilled out and pain free up there ....

take care

Morning Sue,

Sorry to hear you not 100% but very pleased to see you checking in another week bet free 🙂 you are doing extremely well my friend! I think it helps to build up some virtual friendships as this can often provide a smile when needed most!

Hope you make a super speedy recovery and until then enjoy your day of Olympic fun!
