Day 38

Was up at 4.30 am but couldn't bring myself to wake mum! Anyway held of till 6.30.............oooooh if looks could kill!

Who would believe at 7.00 am the shop was busy........pressies all got , food and drink sorted......son text me for a "cheeky" bottle of southern comfort!

Am quitely spending the rest of the day on my own. I have opened a bottle of garta roja and am having a drink for my beloved dad.......10 years ago today he passed over....was totally out of the blue.

Dad I love you and will see you again in heaven.

Gambling....not a chance.

Nice to know hun you gave me a thought there and i too have been in sainsburys today...feels more like xmas today..

I'm also thinking of you too and raising a toast to your dad ..I take Dots out round the cemetry..it a nice one and always go and look at the headstones ..lots of people there today bringing flowers and paying respects...especially sad to see the newly bereaved and thought of Joan too ...

Enjoy that tot of plonk and fill your mind with memories of your dad and christmasses past...

Thanks for ur continued support its come at a much needed time , xmas is nearly here even though u av been in the xmas spirit since bout November lol but thats just shows what u bring to this forum so much happiness

More importantly ur putting ur own recovery 1st and are taking great strides forward once again but this time u av all the knowledge of the last time and its Making u such a stronger person and thats there for us all to see

R.I P mr womble, your daughter is a diamond and you did a fantastic job and i know you are very proud of her every day.

I to shall be toasting empty chairs and my dad tomorrow but i wont let the ghosts of christmas past haunt me anymore I will let my heart glow with love and pride of the man my dad was.

Day 40

Firstly, I feel really bad but havn't posted to anyone but been real busy.

Cleaned room...spent time with my son.....cooked family meal.

Sons fixed my wii.....It's begining to sound a lot like xmas (hope you all sang that)

Anyway tomorrow is my first day of 6 on the trott at work.......I know...get the hankeys out!

Don't mind cos am getting off next year.

I hope everyone has an amazing xmas....most of all...stay gamble free.
