Excellent progress Roch and a great attitude.

Thank you for visiting my diary.

Regarding your troublesome wasps, you will first need to identify where they are entering their nest, ie air brick, under roof tile, outbuilding or in vegetation.

A reputable pest control company should charge you no more than £45 for low level work but £50+ if long  ladders required for guttering /roof.

The treatment should be guaranteed and if two or more visits are needed than you shouldn't have to pay twice. Check if your local council has a pest control department because they are honest and beware of scoundrels who might try to rip you off.

The treatment consists merely of applying an appropriate insect powder to the nest entrance so the wasps entering, get it on their fur and spread it around the nest.

The nest is not removed.

This time of year they are not very aggressive and just before dark they will all be inside so if you decide to do it yourself, it is relatively safe and simple to apply the wasp powder (quickly) and scarper before they have time to react.

A second treatment may be required after a few days.

Thank you very much for this very useful advice, Stephen  🙂

I've never encountered a wasps nest before but well prepared now.

Day 124. No gambling today. As a result, my spare cash goes up a little bit, because when not gambling, I accumulate a little cash because I don't waste it on anything else.

Day 125.

I really am having 'one of those days today'. But at least I'm not gambling.  Just for today.

That's the most important thing - not gambling.  Today.

Hope your feeling better Roch.

Rebuilding a life tainted by gambling is not easy but over time our outlook changes and possibilities arise which we never even dreamed possible.

Stay strong dear friend and if ever your feeling the strain than just bare with it because tomorrow is always another day.

Thank you so much for your kind messages, friends.   My problems were work ones, dealing with a work bully that I've almost shaken off but not quite.  But hopefully I'll be totally free of this unacceptable person - the very antithesis of all I stand for - very soon.

Anyway on a more positive note I'm on Day 126.   Keeping focus!

Day 127.  Buoyed by Stephen's 300 days gambling free, today I refuse to gamble. This is for him (Aum).

Congratulations Roch

? 130 days ?

A noble man on a mission

Striving to change his ways

Time is an excellent healer

And patience may be required

But slowly slowly

Bit by bit

A mind can be rewired
