Feb..
Hey all,
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Just wanted to drop by and say hello and give an update to you all. Iam proud to say, 217 days gamble free today and i
continue to stay focused on my recovery. I managed to find some work with a small company, there not union, but i need a job, and at this point iam very grateful. Iam hoping by september to gain employment with a union company. I should be able to keep my place, if i find a union company that will hire me. Iam confident that all my years of expierence in the commercial construction industry will benifit them. I continue to go fishing when i have time, but work is a priority for me. At some point i hope to turn my Internet back on and be on here again more regularly. My life has truly become so much better since i made the the choice to abstain from gambling and iam finding my strengths as i continue on my journey in recovery. There are always going to be some tuff days we will face as recovering compulsive gamblers, but through courage and determination to abstain from gambling, you will find your inner peace again. I wish you the best in your recovery process.

Hey all,
Hope everyone is doing great and enjoyed the weekend. Today i'am 238 days gamble free. It's been a long tuff road but i remain dedicated to my decision to stop gambling and save myself from this addiction. It's a lifetime commitment and recovery is hard work. I hope in october to be able to turn my internet back on and join back in this great forum on a regular basis. I wish you the best in your recovery process. Always thinking of you all. Stay strong!

Hey all,
Hope everyone is doing great. Been some real tuff weeks, but i have put my strengths to test and have not crumbled, i remain dedicated to a better life, one that does not include gambling. This is hard work folks, but nothing rewarding is handed over to you without some sheer determination to make some gut wrenching choices, chioces you have to dig up from the pit of your stomach, throw out your old ways, work the journey of abstinence. Not every week is going a breeze, but you will get stronger, that i promise you, each time you say no to the thoughts of gambling and you shut down the process of relapsing you get stronger. Trust me i've had some days, where i had it planned to go down to the casino, but when i took a few minutes to reflect on how far i've come on this journey and all the folks i've inspired to find a new way, i said to myself, no thanks to a bet, not worth it to me or my recovery. I'am keeping this journey of abstinence, not giving it away for any dollar amount! I wish you the best in your recovery process, stay strong, and stay dedicated to yourself, because your worth it!

Just read your 'chart' over on the intro page.
Very, very, very, VERY interesting!! Especially the first post, although they're all good. I can really see my behaviour in there.
Thanks for taking the time to post it. Much appreciated.

Hey all,
Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend. Iam working on a project this weekend, taking out some old concrete sidewalks with a jackhammer and preping it to pour new concrete. Everything is going well, still gamble free and taking it one day at a time. The weather is starting to cool down over here as we move into the fall season. Looking forward to the holidays as they near us, and I will be enjoying them gamble free! Stay strong, and I wish you the best in your recovery process.
