Another another week nearly gone..
How time flys when lifes normal...
Sooo. .son back to school for last year....pep talk given to him about how important it is .....less Xbox. ..more revision ! ....we'll see lol
Daily household chores...work...bar. ...all tickety boo
Daughters and grandchildren. ..there fine. ..slight situation with the "absent" dad of eldest grandchild. ..which in the past when similar thing happened caused a fair rift between two daughters. ...not this time...I nipped it in the bud. ..spoke to them all ...and it passed without any fallout....
Anyway....it didn't wobble me...or send me to the slots....just the wine ! lol...result !. .that's normal family life as far as I'm concerned...
Then twas als big day....top man for coming through so much to get to 365 days....if you see the posts from him on my diary about tubes...funnels. ..and weird things....I'm sorry he drank to much at his bash !
So....back to me then...well I'm fine thanks....230 odd days I think...going along each day as it comes. ...dealing with life's ups and downs with a spring in my step and with a smile on my face...luckily no thoughts or urges to fight....long may it last. ..
Still love to come on here to keep in touch with my old buddies !

Makes me sad to see almost daily newcomers....the raw pain and distress can be felt in the posts.....maternal instinct kicks in and I want to just hug them and say " it will be ok "....so I just try to welcome with a cyber hug...
So that's it really....
May start another diy project next week....
Had planned to do it as soon as I finished sons room a couple months back....oh well....begger it...I've been to busy enjoying life !

Yeah , the one night you all go to be early eh ? , not quite sure what happened tbh but hey ho such is life , thought it might be have a go at the bloke thing but in fairness a few women got a poke too ( maybe wrong choice of words there ) but yoiu know what I mean , the missus will be livid when sh e finds out the about the women I hang around with after dark ( present company accepted of course ) you the others and the ( Dutch bird ) are ok of course ( sorry Kelly ) :)) but I'm gonna stop logging on after 11 pm coz it gives me nightmares and such and I really don't need them at my delicate stage of life ! ,

Having a sofa morning catching up on here....just been thinking about the old " shall I admit my addiction to partner " dilema that most of us compulsive gamblers have faced....and several on here are stressing over at the moment...
We've all said more or less the same reasons
Don't want to hurt partner
They will be angry
Partners unwell and won't cope
Partner will look down on me
They will leave
They won't trust me again
They will take control of money
They will think I'm stupid
Etc etc
I was such a "doubter" when the majority on here said you will feel better when hubby knows the truth ! you will feel a weight off your shoulders....whatever happens !
And it's true ...I did !
So this morning I've been thinking about rights and wrongs regarding outing the truth...
And I've decided it's got to be out everytime....
We as individuals have no right to keep such secrets from another person. ...to entangle somebody we ultimately love into such a web of destruction which is actually a ticking time bomb....without them even knowing anything about it....without giving them the choice as to whether they want to be part of it....when on so many levels they are jointly involved but dont even know.....have we really got the right to do that....I don't think so....how can we have the right to have such a secret that effects other people.....
Arghhh. ..that probally reads as a load of gobbly goosh ! but I know what I mean....any way....it's not meant to offend anyone .....it's just my thoughts lol

It makes perfect sense, I lost when I told but gained recovery. Only regret is I never did it sooner and things might of been different. But we will never know as I kept it hidden till it was too late

Great post Lox and your right , we have no right to keep those things from the people we love , they live a life of blissfull ignorance while we keep skulking around living with our litle lies , like Martin said sometimes we lose but we gain in other ways and whatever the outcome we become honest again .
