Thank you Lively for the delightful poem you left on my diary. I have read it several times over and each time it makes me feel happy. I am going to write it out really nicely with coloured gel pens (P e n s) and put it on my kitchen wall.

The chatroom was buzzing this evening and several friends joined. Good to see new faces but sad to read of the problems brought about by compulsive gambling.  I sincerely hope everyone can come to their senses and be rid of that awful addiction.

Wishing you a happy, contented and joyful weekend.

Nite nite sweet dreams

Aww thank you for your posts scotty and Stephen.

Scotty, it appears we wrote posts on each other’s diary at the same time. Sorry you will have a few busy days and not be in chat. I hope everything goes okay and remember to come back to chat if you need the support in the meantime. Before you know it, you will be at 50 days too as you haven’t got too long to go.

Aww stephen, I have written back on your diary in response to your post about the poem. I hope you had a good evening and a nice Saturday.

I haven’t done very much today but I have spent a fair amount of time in chat today. There are so many newbies joining in the past few days - it makes me happy they have found this place and are seeking support but also sad that they are in a position where they have had to do.

Not much else to report other then feeling good and moving into day 51.

Hello Lively. I hope you have had a good day and are feeling ok.

Good to see you and Vinnie in the chatroom. It was very busy and had plenty of intrigue.

I photographed your wonderful poems which I have written out and put up in my kitchen ?. I am over the moon with them ?? (thank you). A part of the photo I took of them is visible on my profile picture but it is not very clear so I will go back to displaying the pentacle tomorrow.

Also very impressed with your culinary skills ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?. I am wondering if Vinnie has been passing on her nutritional expertise to you ?.

Wishing you a peaceful nights sleep with the sweetest dreams imaginable.

Stephen x

Good to see you in the chatroom earlier Lively. You are a very kind lady and I believe you would make a very good counsellor. Knowledgeable, supportive and understanding are just a few of the positive words I would use to describe your good self.

It was good to see Debbie reaching her 90 day target. As choreographer it must make you proud when one of your dancers is performing well. Lol ???

Wishing you every happiness over the coming week?‍♀️??‍♀️

Good afternoon and best wishes Lively. Hope you are having a pleasant day.

Just been in the chatroom visiting friends.

Not normally one to tell tales but rehearsals will be coming up shortly for the Inbetweener Dance/Hike so we all need to be in tip-top shape.

Respectfully yours

Stephen  ? x x x

Hi Lively.

Just popping by to say hello and wish you a super duper day.

Not seen you around for a couple of days but I know you are busy working. Hope you are managing to get out in the garden to enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

Thanks for your continuous posts of support Stephen. I’m glad you liked the poem.

So today is now day 59, it’s amazing how the days are passing by and on Monday will be day 60. 3 more days and it will payday again which I’m looking forward to because I’m looking forward to clearing at least another two debts. I never thought I’d feel so happy to pay my debts but I now have hope and look forward to the future on this gamble free path. I have found I have once again got goals and ambitions for the future that I’d had long ago forgotten about. I am no longer living each day wading through treacle just to get to the end of the day until it’s all over to repeat it all over again.

I plan to embrace every opportunity I have moving forward so I don’t continue living a life of regret.

Thats enough for now.

Lively

Congratulations Lively on your excellent progress.

60 days since you last gambled and your positive attitude is a constant source of inspiration to me. It is with pride that I look upon you as a friend.

With hand on heart you have battled bravely against the insidious scourge of gambling addiction whilst showing great courage, integrity and understanding.

Admiration and respect for a very special lady.

Thank you Stephen, as always for your support and helping me get to 60 days. You are one of the main reasons I return to this forum regularly. It seems like a distant memory in the past sat in my car and it will remain that way.

I’m busy working so can’t write too much but today is a good day and I am happy. I hope you’re having a good Monday and get to enjoy a nice walk, albeit without the sun shining!

Reminder, thank you for taking the time to read my diary and indeed, the first few days, I was in despair. I think it is a good reminder for anyone on here how quickly things can improve with the right support and actions. I’m only on day 60, however, my life now is better than it has been in years and there really is light at the end of the tunnel. I can genuinely say  I’m happy right now and as each day passes since that last day I gambled, things continue to improve. I hope that is the case for you too.

Wishing everyone a good, gamble free day!

Lively
