Slowly but surely

Hi Ben well done on getting past that urge that use to be a big let down for me if I had a bill or something I needed money for I would try win it and overall some how would end up spending double the amount gambling!

Think a part of recovery is breaking the habits you get so use too keep it up tho stay positive and stay strong!

One day at a time

Day 12 today - almost 2 weeks! (cant remember the last time i didnt have a bet in 12 days)

went to the pub last night to watch the england game, didnt even look at the fruit machines, the times were i would put pound after pound in seem a distant memory. i know i must stay focussed and not become complacent and i will ensure this doesnt happen.

rylex, yes i completely understand what youre saying, that is something i always used to do. looking back, i was a complete fool. NEVER AGAIN! 🙂

Blackpool, a nice bit of seaside, something many of us townies, wouldn't mind. But doubly hard for anyone who likes a gamble.

Keep strong and heres to 3 weeks gamble free, very shortly.

Well done on 2 weeks Ben I'm a week tomorrow and everyday that goes by, as hard as it is motivates me more to keep going, keep it up and enjoy your day out!

day 15 today, half a month 🙂 small steps and milestones and keep chalking the days off 🙂

Half a month, that's a good way to look at it.

To bad you're missing the sunshine, but then again, if work keeps you busy and takes away the opportunity to even think about gambling that's a good thing too.

Sunshine would be nice, however i am off on a family holiday next week to cala llonga, ibiza, so ill get plenty there.

Well done Ben your smashing them days and least you have something to look forward to getting away, heard loads of people talking about going away and here's boaring me nothing planned haha, it's kind of twisting my arm to try book a holiday now one actually out of the country ha!
