Good to hear about your gf days..

Sad about your retreat from other folks diaries. I am being selfish wanting you not to stop  but your little posts brighten my day. It is your arena. Use the floor as you wish. May I ask am I all right to pop in to your diary as I do.

Thank you Stephen

Boo x

Thank you Boo for those kind words. Visitors are always welcome on my diary and I love and respect all my gamcare friends.

Please forgive my decision to stop posting on other diaries. I am taking a step back purely for selfish reasons as I am spending too much time on the gamcare diaries and would like to engage more on other things.

I will continue to record my journey on my own diary and will also post on the 100 day challenge thread.

Stephen x

Thank you Drama.

I might have to change it because it has resulted in my profile page changing to another Stephen who joined in 2014.

I was thinking of going for Stephen011119 which is the date I stopped gambling.

Stephen x

All aboard the gamcare train with whistles and a full head of steam

Off on a great adventure which once was just a dream

A better life awaits us with meaning love and contentment

So leave behind what we don't need and cast off all resentment

Dear Stephen,

Thank you for popping by my diary. I was sad to think that may never happen again. I understand that you need to focus on you and I would want nothing more than that. I will keep reading and enjoying your journey Stephen, you lighten my spirit xx

Just walked past a couple of closed down betting shops which are now just an empty shell.

Good riddance to them dens of iniquity.

Life will have more meaning for me now.

More opportunities.

More fun.

Less worry and stress.

No more the fool cos I is cool.

Dentist at 8 o clock to have a crown fitted on a back tooth.

Very apprehensive because 2 weeks ago it was to be fitted and it didn't fit so the dentist had to take another impression.

Fingers crossed all goes well today.

Thank you Murlo. Everything good at the dentists and touch wood everything seems ok with the crown.

Went again to Salsa tonight which was great fun. Everybody was happy and enjoying the dancing.

Enjoying been in the 100 Club on the diaries. Great bunch of fellow compulsive gamblers helping each other along and sharing our journeys. Thanks for organising and running that Mixer. I enjoy and appreciate the great advice, support and encouragement.

Going to visit sister and her family tomorrow for Christmas & New Year.

47 Days GF and everything on course for my great escape from the tyranny of gambling addiction.

Some people might think retired people have had their day but this old codger is ready to embrace his gamble free life and and start to live a great adventure.

A foolish man I was -  but I have seen the light

I sing and dance my socks off - morning noon and night

Challenges that come my way will give my life more humpty

Gone are the days I stood at machines looking like a right old numpty

"He is a man of courage who does not run away but remains at his post and fights against the enemy."

Socrates.

I was never any good at combat and as a child and young man would always come off second best.

I was useless in disagreements and would always lose an argument.

But surely I can overcome thoughts in my head which cannot hurt me in the slightest. An urge to gamble cannot punch me on the nose, throw stones at me of spread malicious gossip. It has no power over me whatsoever.

Stephen (Almost 48 Days GF)- Still rocking on

On the road to a better life with nothing at all to fear

Angels gathered round are urging me along

Grooving and a-moving and singing a happy song
