A friend who lives away came him and asked me out for a drink today, I was able to go without having to make excuses because I had gambled away my money. This one small thing of being able to go for a drink has got me back on track and refocused no more thinking of gambling.

Day 53

After a bit of a rocky start yesterday with urges and thoughts about gambling. I feel refocused and back on track. My catch up with my friend yesterday and actually having money to go out has put into perspective. Pay day Friday

Exactly, will certainly make a change

While at the hospital with a friend today i really did have a reality check. While sitting in the cafe (waiting for her to get a blood test) i was people watching and watching the world go by. It hit me some of the people I saw today are not going to get better, it is out of their control. While I on the other hand have thst choice of whether or not I gamble. I can make myself better and improve the quality of my life.

I need to keep on doing what i'm doing, stay positive and learn not to take things for granted.

Day 55

Payday normally a day I dread for obvious reasons as the cycle would usually begin of losses and chasing which left me living on fresh air for most of the month. My new aim is to go two consecutive paydays gamble free.Today I have treated myself to new gym clothes instead of wasting money, energy and time.

Hey kadiz,

We're on the same boat bud, pay day for time today and I'm echoing you're what you've said above . Funnily enough I'm more on my fitness rather than gambling . I currently spend 4 days 2-3 hrs each session in the gym plus 1 day core session at home to enable me to get back to competition level. I'm on day 56 bud let's support each other ! Keep up the good work .

Day 56

Thank you Sars for taking the time to read my diary, support and advice is welcome and is an incentive to push on. Really enjoying the exercise, head is clearer and more focussed. Today I have thought about gambling but about how much I don't want to. I also feel that my body is also detoxing, which might sound strange but have had headaches' the last few days. Hopefully I cam get gambling out of my system altogether. @Sars here's to our continued success.

Day 59 Gamble free.

Keeping myself busy over the holidays is paying off, only thinking about gambling now in relation to the money lost, wasted and squandered over the years. Really makes me sick. Hope this mindset continues.

Day 63

Thinking about gambling less and less. Even had the idea to set up online business, a small enterprise. As I'm not gambling had a small amount of cash to buy stock. Feeling really positive and definitely keeping myself busy during my 6 week summer break off work.
