Hi Dave and great to see a post from you on here. I still dream about gambling a lot and also wonder what the harm would be in taking £20 into play on roulette and then win or lose I'd just walk out....I know....dangerous thoughts

Anyway well done on 122 not out. I'm not too far away from my half century!!

Day 125 over

Sorry its been a while, but I have soooo busy I have not had tome o come on. The most important thing is I have not gambled. But this week is a majour test, I am working away and there is a casino next door to my Hotel that does not require membership, so I hope I do not go in here one night when I am drunk. The good thing is I have no money with me so this should help.

Take care all and hopefully report tomo xx

Great to hear you are going strong Dave and just think Brian Lara or Sachin Tendulkar just keep batting, batting and batting piling on the runs.

Sounds dangerous with the casino. Can you exclude yourself?

50 is approaching for me this weekend so really looking forward to getting there.

Days 126,127 done just starting 128 (Thats 18 weeks gamble free!!!)

Well guys I managed not to go into the casino in opposite my Hotel this week, which has been the biggest test for me in recents weeks. Everytime I walked out of the hotel there was a sign saying, Just walk in no membership required, start playing stright away. I ended up just looking at the floor everytime I was near the place!! Anyway that test is now over as I am home, still feeling strong and happy at not gambling. The only thing that is bothering me at present is my credit rating, its worse now then when I was gambling, which I just cant beleive!! I have just gone onto Experian and my score is 456, which is very poor. When I gambled I was always around 800 which is good. I have looked into it, and its because I applied to transfer my credit card balnace to 3 differant companys in February (They all said no) but now that has left a massive dent in my credit rating. I am still paying stupid amounts of interest on my credit cards, but I have no choice in the matter as no one will let me transfer the balance, but I am overdue a bonus payment from work so hopefully this will arrive soon and I will be sorted.

Have a great day guys, and remember no Gambling allowed!!

Hi dave and congrats on the continued innimngs. The 150 is not too far away.

Well done on resisting the casino as well. I've had an up and down week and could have easily gone back to the gambling demons. I always had this 50 day milestone on my mind though I will be so happy to hit that.

Yes meet has been arranged and will be myself, Sad Face and you hopefully on the 3rd saturday in July at Gunwharf, Portmsouth. Will that be ok for you? I have no idea where you live?!

Well keep batting on keep the defence strong and enjoy it! 🙂

128 and 129 over

Sorry A38 I cant make any weekend in July as I am working, but maybe a mid week day is possible ?? I live near Bristol.

Well still not gambled and to be honest I cant beleive I used to waste so much monsy doing it, my debts are decreasing monthly and I feel so much happier and relaxed. It is still going to take years to rid myself of all the debt, but at least now I can see some light at the end of the tunnel. Its amazing what you can acheive in 4 months of non gambling!! As we always say though I have to stay focused and not let the little gambling man in my head creep up on me and convince me to go back. I went past a bookie yesterday, and peeked through the window and no one was playing the FOBT machines, so maybe people are now getting the idea that they are not good for you, I would welcome any other comments on this?

Have a good weekend all

Hi dave and thanks the posts.

5 grand bonus???!!! You lucky b*****d. 5k would really really sort out my debts! But just make damm sure that's what it does get spent on. Not that you need to be told.

I'm still at the other end keeping you focused and relaxed on our never ending innings. Will be there to punch gloves at your 150 not out.

Take it easy geez and next time I'm down at abbey wood ill let you know.

I agree, how I would love to have 5 grand sitting in my hands right now.

As a38 said, I hope that you are absolutely certain that you know exactly what to do with it. Having a huge sum of money can sometimes be a trigger to waste it.

Don't even think about wasting even such a small amount of it as we all know that one tiny, tiny bet WILL lead to disaster.

And I hope that you have some little treats for yourself in store too!

GT

Day 131 over

Cheers guys for the messages, and dont worry I will not waste on of this bonus on you know what, I have already allocated it

MBNA Credit Card - 1000 (Then closed!!)

Cap One Credit Card - 1000 (Then closed!!)

Money owed to various people - 700

American Express - 2300 (Then only 700 left!!)

This will only leave barclaycard and 1 loan left to pay, but I must get rid of credit cards 1st as the interest is crazy on them. Like I have said it will take me ages to rid myself of the debt, but when that day comes I will be having a party to end all partys to celebrate!!

I am as focused today as I was 1st Feb 2011, I can beat you gambling
