hi irene

about 15 years ago i used to do night shift, what a horrible shift to do, so i hope it wasnt too bad and you can now settle on a better shift.

its the little changes we notice along the journey that makes it all worthwhile

remember the only way we gonna do anything different is by change

so keep gamble free for today and make a different plan tomorrow

Hello,

Thank you for the continued support and for being a real positive presence on this site. People have really warmed to you and for very good reason. Your progress is absolutely fantastic and long may it continue. Keep applying that day at a time philosophy and forward you will continue to go.

Trip to your part of the world this week. Early start Wednesday morn then course induction followed by use of the Westerwood facilities lol!! See the weather is holding off in your part of the world too seems weird coming to Glasgow to warm up :).

Thanks folks x

Day 71

Still gamble free and so thankful that I am 🙂

Only 1 cig today- and hair done. Amazing, after a hairdresser appt feel like I should be hitting the pub instead of home to bed!

Still no "real" snow yet- a wee fluttering earlier but didn't lie.

No massive thoughts or urges to gamble which is an added bonus.

Hi there

you are so brave tackling the ciggies at the same time especially cutting down. I used to smoke years ago but as with gambling had to stop outrite as one would set me off again. My sister stopped last year and couldn't believe how much she saved - lots more hairdo's in store for you.

Snow turned to ice here and very slippy especially on my gangplank, hope I don't end up in the river.

Brill you are not gambling.

Thank you so much for your support It really is so appriciated.

Had my few days "absent without leave"but back now!!!!

Guess I dealt with my feelings now...and back on track.

Wow 1 ciggie...I smoked the rest of them for ya!!!!

You started ya dating yet? I have ditched the thing at the moment but not to say I wont try again in the future....just not into it!

My guess is Irene is looking stunning with the new hairdo and healthy lifestyle....Go Girlie!

Morning,

Sharing your feelings this morning! My training is apparently for development but not sure i want to develop into what they want :)! Oh well just travelling up into your part of the world quite a picturesque journey actually!

Hope the training isn't too mind numbing! You are certainly making excellent progress and that should be reason to smile today!

You were right about the weather not really tent in the garden stuff so ill have a look at what the Westerwood has to offer instead :)!

Day 73 (contd)

Well. the training was as dull as anticipated, not helped at all that I'm being trained to use a system that is seriously flawed.....only good stuff from today was the custard creams at teatime and early finish lol. Was actually still light when I got home.

The day got progressively worse. Paddy's doggie pal's lump is cancerous and my sister is devastated. Awaiting more investigation at the Canine Oncology Unit. The good news is, the wee dog doesn;t know she's sick and is her usual happy self.

Feel like I've not had much time recently for catching up on here. Chillaxed evening planned, son's out viewing houses with his gf. Going to catch up with some diaries tonight- get my wee dose of GC positivity 🙂

Badminton tomorrow evening so need to conserve my energy lol.

Still feel strange that I'm rarely thinking about gambling- despite payday being tomorrow. Smoking's not going so good- had a few (still not buying any- smoking other peoples!)

No snow- yipee!

Hi Irene,

Training courses eh, If they want to waste there money then keep eating those custard creams. lol.

So sorry to hear about your sisters dog im sure she is devastated poor little man but maybe it can be removed/treated ?

I felt strange when i got to the point where gambling didnt even enter my head but now i am begininng to accept that this is normal and how i should be.

Well done on the ciggies as you reduce them down you may get to a point where like gambling you dont need it or think about it.

Kick a** at badminton tomorrow, enjoy your evening.

Take care

Blondie
