hi Irene
thanks for the support, and keep doing what your doing cos its obviously working
carl
Hey Irene..
We sure know the words walking the walk don't we? ...and day at a time ...as that's all you can do when your finances are not in your control and others seem to be making decisions ...
I shall pass on any news I get over my debts on here , just a waiting game now really ...and it does feel like a game back and forth.
They advised me at SC that if they start recalling the whole thing then just resend your budget sheet again and a token offer and just always pay it on time,..that's about it really until the decide to step it up to CCJs ..
At least we are in the same boat as I'm sure millions are but it's nice to have someone who is going through the same thing and hopefully reassure each other...
Thank you for popping in...yep..12 step...it's one of those slowly slowly things I think..some folks get it immediately and some like me take a lifetime ..lol

Again, thanks x
Day 240
Toddled along to the gym for my 7.30am appt- I've been officially "planned" and good to go. I will be fit. I will be fit. I will be fit..........maybe!
Otherwise, a normal day at work, except I've managed to talk my boss into allowing me to do extra work!!!!!!!
Generally, things seem to have settled again mood- wise and I'm ambling along nicely.
Poor wee Paddy's not handling the heat well- gone on hunger strike and really lethargic. I'll need to keep an eye on him.
Hey Irene,
hope the gym was good, well done for starting on that, I know too well how tough it can be to get going with this type of thing. Hope everything else ok, and keep up the great work.
take care
Phil
Gym at 730! Impressive. I think this is a sign for me to move my a**e. I've looked at castle, SA and flaggs diaries and now yours and all mention fitness. I'm meant to be doing a half marathon in September but trainings slowing down big time. I need to follow your lead. Day 240 is awesome. Keep it going.
Hello Irene,
Wow great news on fitness side:-) I'm sure like for most of us here, it will help you release some stressand you will start feeling better in yourself and everything around you. You never know, we might organise a little marathon between us all one day lol
You getting there my friend, just keep believing in yourself:-)
Thank you for continuous support Irene, it means a lot.
Have a good day and take care

Thanks folks- gym session 2 complete-phew
Day 241
Gambling free days are much more appealing than gym sessions 🙂
Had a lovely walk this evening with Paddy and my friend- celebrated with a hard earned ice lolly- can't remember when I last had one, triggered discussion about favourite childhood confectionary......spangles, Chelsea whoppers etc and what happened to caramel cups?
gym session 3 done and dusted!
Day 242
Chat session this evening was brill- thanks to everyone involved.
Wobbly wee legs today lol, I need to admit I'm starting to enjoy the dreaded gym!!!! (think I once said on here I'd rather stick pins in my eyes lol)
Had a really positive day at work and haircut afterwards.
Paddy seems to be on the mend and has eaten well today- still a bit subdued though, still not handling the heat well (although he loves sunbathing!). He's 10 now and I can't expect him to jump around like a pup.
Early night for me 🙂
Hey Irene,
Lovely to chat with you as always, and please don't get me wrong, you are on a right track, and most importantly you do it for yourself:) which is amazing, how far you got and keep going! you go girl, we all behind you. When you feel ready (if you feel) you can open op to others, some people find it easier, some prefer to keep it to themselves, there is no fault there.
Take care my friend, keep going strong !
P.s. give those legs some rest:)

Hey Irene
I'm not sure how much brain rest I shall be having on this break from work but I can see a few more music posts popping up....
I am an 80s girl , for the nostalgia but I think every generation think that the time in your teens and 20s when your discovering more your identity is where they most felt alive....plus with the invention of the synthesisers and moogs and mixing decks it brought a whole raft of new music didn't it..? ..
Thats where me and new technology really do get on through music , but not through my blummin phone and iPad...oh ,,and the invention of contact lenses was pretty cool too...lol
it's gonna keep fine for us Northeners this weekend .
it's hotter here than its been down in London ...

Ps....I'm borrowing a paddling pool for Dots,,,maybe Paddy could have a paddle?? Lol ..
pps ..what happened to Jammy Dodgers and Wagon Wheels ..lol x
thanks ladies x
Day 243
4th gym session before work-was mortified trailed grass through centre and didnt realise till Id left a mess in my wake (had to chase paddy through park before I went!)
No major thoughts around gambling. I did have
some reflection about the positive changes over past few months triggered by last nights chat.
Happy to say Im popping out to see pal this evening-so much more satisfying than staring at a screen, losing money and losing myself 🙂
Way to go Queen Irene. Enjoy - you deserve it!!
Catch up soon.
Take care.
