Hi everyone,
You may have noticed that we have made some changes to the names and descriptions used for our forums. We have purposefully moved towards the term “gambling harms” to be in line with the inclusive language we use at GamCare. We just wanted to let you know that the spaces have not changed in their function at all, the only change has been the new names and descriptions.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask if you have any thoughts about how we could make the forum spaces more inclusive or help capture the wide range of things people may be experiencing in relation to gambling harms. You can anonymously submit your thoughts via the following survey: https://forms.office.com/e/7JB7WiqX0n
We really appreciate your contribution to help improve our digital peer support spaces.
All the best,
Lulu

Lulu, thanks for the update. The shift to “gambling harms” is a positive and thoughtful step toward inclusivity. One suggestion to make the forums more inclusive could be to create a dedicated space for family and friends affected by someone else's gambling, as they often face unique emotional and financial challenges. This might help widen the scope of support and better reflect the diverse experiences of those impacted.
