I would like to ask fellow addicts Gamblers. Did you ever over the years we're taken advantage of. In my opinion when you have an addiction it gives power over you and some not all people take advantage of this. Its like when you have a addiction it makes us vulnerable to abuse.People will use it against you. Some people are very vertious and are kind and genuinely care but not everyone is Kind and caring
It depends on what you mean by taken advantage of.if it means by offers from gambling s**m companies sending you offers no they are set up to take every last penny.thats the nature off their business model as basically gambling companies are the dregs of human life
@g3y6a5jbds No I am not talking about Gambling companies I am talking in General when people have an addiction and they are desperate for money others take advantage such as betting shop staff knowing your addicted treat you with no respect and don't care if your family have no food or a place to stay. Also when you sell stuff to fund your gambling people sense your vulnerable and never give you the value of your stuff eg pay you what its worth they prey on your desperation caused by gambling.everything is on their terms gambling places you in a vulnerable state then the predatory people come out from no where.so NO i am talking about gambling companies. i am talking people in general !!1 although not everyone is like that you can't say everyone just some so that is what i am talking about.
best wishes enjoy your life  sign up to the moses scheme for betting shops its quick and easy to do by one simple phone call pawn shops will never give you the full value of your goods be lucky to get 25% of the real value of your goods if your lucky .I dont appreciate your viscious tone by adding exclamation marks so I'm.going to.block.you.Â
Yes Johnny i got advantage taken off me the odd times i did collect any winnings i would give money out to staff people in the arcades casinos mainly in bookies as alot of people would beg and i nearly got robbed a couple of times it was an awful experience not one of the staff members actually talked about self exclussion various staff knew what was happening i believe the staff once i heard a staff saying i cant afford to lose what i lost so had very little understanding of the addiction she just assumed i could adford itÂ
@tazman Exactly TAZ you know exactly what i am talking about. Thanks for the comment. You now exactly what i mean by this cheers mate.
This resonated with me as when I was in my deepest depths of addiction at the age of 14, I sold an emerald ring that I had stolen to a jewellers in the town centre. I remember the lady looking at me a bit strangely and after returning from the back room, happily giving me money for the ring. Looking back now, a teenage lad selling an emerald ring is quite obviously very dodgy and should raise red flags. I was quite clearly desperate at the time and I feel the lady did take advantage of the position I was in. She probably broke rules, even the law by doing what she did. She didn't know about my gambling habit so it's not directly related but my desperation and vulnerability were clear to see.
Affected by gambling?
