Hi Charlie,

Welcome to the Forum.

I know where your head is at and it's not a good place to be. You can pull this situation around though.

You say your wage is low and that is probably one of the factors that encourages you to gamble. I can understand you want a bit extra each month and gambling, at first glance seems to be a good way to go. The thing is the more you borrow the deeper you will get into the s**t. You could have gotten lucky with your £500 bet. One thing is for certain if it had "won" you would have given it all back and more besides. It's the way gambling goes unfortunately. For every lucky devil that hits the bullseye and wins enough to keep them going for years, there are thousands of unlucky ones and you and me have been among them.Block gambling sites with K9 (free). Make up a nonsense password and write it down. When you have used it to set K9 up then destroy it so you cannot access gambling sites.

If you use High St Bookies then self exclude from your local ones.

You have to set up as many barriers/obstacles to stop gambling as you can. It's the only way.

You will get further urges so you have to make sure nothing can be done about them.

Free counselling can be gotten via Gamcare. Chat to them online if you want or attend GA meetings if you can.

If you cannot manage to pay your existing credit liablities then seek help from say StepChange, Payplan or the National Debtline. They are charity based I believe and do not charge fees for helping you set up a debt managment plan. The banks will take even as low as £1 PM and freeze interest. You must bear in mind though this will wreck your credit rating for the forseeable future.

If you can management to pay your existing credit liabilities each months then all well and good. Your credit rating will remain intact. This will help if you ever manage to apply for a mortgage.

Don't forget you are still very young. DO NOT WRECK THE REST OF WHAT MAY BE A LONG LIFE BY GAMBLING. It can be a very lonely and cold place. You could lose good friends and familiy.Hope what I've said makes sense.

Take Care Now.
