Long story short.
Been gambling around 10 years. Never got into serous debt, once my parents paided off around ВЈ3,00 for me. Since then iv tried to stop but continued to gamble, never getting in debt but never having any money at the end of a month despite getting a better than average wage. Time to stop. Lost ВЈ675 today in a casino after a ВЈ2,500 win last week. Was doing ВЈ5 spins. Just thinking of pressing the button at £5 a spin every time over and over is making me sick. Hit me very hard. Maybe finally realised I can't win.

Thanks for listening

Day 1 starts now

You asked a question and the answer is yes you are stupid to gamble. So was I and many on here.

Stop now ! History shows you will only lose in the long run and not just money. Family, friends, loved ones

self worth, trust.... need I go one.

Dont just give up on the back of a loss. Take action and hand finances over, get rid of any credit cards if you have them.

I find the above is helping me in my quest to rid myself of what has been almost a lifetime of addiction to slots

Keep posting and set up a diary. You will find great support here

Hey

Thanks for response.

Your right it is stupid to gamble especially as 99% of my life I act as a responsible man should.

I know it would be heartbreaking if my gf ever found out. I cant tell her. I will beat this myself.

Yes I had a credit card but paided it off last week after 'the win'. I shall cut it up asap. Not that I have used it to gamble, just to pay for other stuff on it that I should of had money for but just gambled.

Day 1, thanks for your support.

How many days are you gamble free? Does it get easier?

Get that card cut up now !

You are strong after the back of a loss but as you know as gamblers its soon forgotten and we repeat.

It is a very hard addiction to beat. I can not say if it gets any easier as I find it a day to day struggle as have gambled

heavily and lost 100's of thousands over many years and lost people I deeply loved.

I have a diary if you want to take a look. I gambled not to win so we may be different but we

are still addicts. Please do not make the mistakes I have. So many people on here will

support you and I will look out for your posts.

Make sure that card is cut and closed by phone ASAP
