after 5 weeks clean and nearly overcoming my addiction i lost more money today. Started off gambling Sunday and Monday = up and then losing a fair whack today.

Feeling numb and of self hatred. "We go again" as they say. I know I can crack this but the complancey, seeing my bank account growing from not gambling in five weeks took over. I have self excluded from most sites. Really considering contacting my bank to block any betting sites..

Well nebo, we all fail at some point, and I have also when I first attempted to quit gambling from the first time bud, firstly you have to forget about the money you have lost as you will never get it back, so don't try! I found the best way although the hardest thing to do in my life so far was too come clean to my family and partner, probably hear this all the time but it's easier when you have the support of your family and friends and remember bud things will get better! All the best marty

Nebbo, the self hatred is normal. You just need to learn from your mistakes and relapses. Don't get too down and don't judge yourself too harshly for your recent loss.

Thanks for the positive words mate. It sounds strange but losing the money didn't depress me but the fact I relapsed after a good five weeks clean. My biggest obstacle is beating the urge on the weekend. I know I can do this, I'm more committed than ever now.
