Hi All,
I'm new to this and now I want to try and change my life for the better.
I've been surrounded by gambling for as long as I can remember, I have been betting since I was a child on the Grand National and upto a certain age, I was filling out football coupons and that has led me to where I am today, a gambling addict.
I'm not going to use anyone as an excuse, because I have nobody else to blame but myself and my cravings for the next 'big' win.
I guess it was because of my early beginners luck success that got me hooked and in search of winning so much money that I could create the lifestyle I wanted through gambling than working.
Anyway, in a nut shell, I know that I have an addiction and hopefully through the support of others that have or are in the same situation as myself, we'll be able to work hand in hand, side by side with one another and support each other through these tough times ahead and change our lives and our futures for the better.
I look forward to hearing from you all,
Many thanks for taking the time to read my story.

Hi Tavey88,
Welcome.
I'm always amazed at the number of people (me included) the have that bit of beginners luck that sets us going down that rocky road. When we start chasing losses our judgement becomes clouded and we inevitably end up in one hell of a mess.
My poison was horses/football/roulette.
If you need further advice look through previous posts. Have a chat with Gamcare about your situation.
It's very much one day at a time. The gambling free days soon add up though. I'm on Day 41. That's not a boast, it's just testimony to the help and advice I've received from this Forum.
You'll have to be determined but it will be well worth it for the peace of mind it brings.
Take Care Now.
