Today, I lost £100...

It doesn't matter if it is 10K or 1p, it is too much gambling! The main issue is the fixating wheel of Roulette and the obsession with numbers, I should obsess on saving pounds instead!

It has been nearly 30 years of gambling every penny I have and it MUST STOP NOW before I lose everything!

Day One...

Yes stop while you can. I’m desperate to stop. And I’m currently on day one. I lost about 150 this weekend.

I’ve had enough of feeling guilty/bad. None to account to unfortunately. But I feel guilty because of what I could have spent the money on. I’ve got my sisters wedding to save for. That’s a goal. A holiday, furniture anything to look forward to. You’re right the amount doesn’t matter. Although the deeper the feeling if no money left. It is so detrimental and I feel stupid and shameful. Honestly.
I always get hopeful when I put blocks in place. I’m hopeful again. I think Gamban will work this time.

Just trying to be encouraging. I hope you don’t mind.

All the best,

Lucy

I'm going to join you. This is day one for me too. I lost quite a lot more today and have recently taken out credit to ensure that I have enough money in my account. I started on bets on the football but then I found myself doing blackjack. I won big and then lost it and ended up chasing losses. The last year for me was terrible for losses here and there. No more though. You guys are not alone. We can do this.

This is a very important thing to remember, one day at a time

Wake up every day and say "Just for today I wont gamble.."

Im now nearing one thousand days of "just for today"

It really does help its the most achievable of goals and stacks up alot quicker than you think

I wish you all the best, stay strong people 💪

Cheers everyone for your messages of support, I hope that you can all find the will to keep away from gambling.

Been feeling tempted but know that if I can get a month or so under my belt then I have a chance!

I did once go nearly 4 months without gambling so know it is possible.

Best wishes
