Hi everyone, finally built up the courage to admit I have a problem and told my wife yesterday.

I've gambled since I was 16, now 30, but not to the extent of the last few years.

Never lost all of my money from my wages but over the last 18 months in close to £7k on credit cards.

Like many others I've had some highs but generally many more lows. Set deposit limits in the past but then opened an account with someone else to chase the money I'd just lost with another bookies.

Got to give up Now - I want to get the credit cards paid off before my kids have grown up and not get any further in to debt.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Day 1 Debt Free........

Hey

You actually have to want to stop for you, and it sounds like you do

Ive been gambler for around 10 years now, im 28. Ive had debts into the thousands, told family member countless amounts of times im going to stop (just because thats what they wanted to hear). Then 52 days ago I decided this is it, i gave my bank cards to my girlfriend, self excluded from every online site i could think of and things are falling into place.

Finally stopped looking for happiness in the same place i lost it.

You will never win gambling, we never do.
