Hi,

I had my first Counselling session tonight organised through gamcare. This was the first time I have opened up to anyone apart from my girlfriend.

I found it all Extreamly helpful my Councellor was very down to earth very understanding very calm. I had to fill in a few forms to start with before getting in depth.

If you are having a problem with gambling I can not stress enough the importance In attending one of these sessions and open up.

My pattern of thinking and understanding my gambling problem has changed already. Can't wait for my next appointment and getting in depth again and understanding more about what's been making me tick and gamble compulsively.

Some weight lifted from my shoulders tonight. Thank you Gamcare.

What sort of forms? Never heard of a counsellor asking anyone to sign forms

They are forms given to the councellor by gam care. Something along the lines of how much does gambling affect you on a scale of 1-10 that sort of thing. You talk about what makes you gamble and how you feel when gambling then after, it sounds obvious answers but it does lend a different perspective when you look at your behaviour from a physiological point of view. Ring Gam care today and ask them to speak to a councellor in your local area.
