Hello. Yesterday I but rock bottom. I never thought I would get a gambling problem, but how wrong I was. I have lost all my money and owe money for bills which I do not have. I called gamcare and spoke to a really helpful lady who helped me a lot. She then suggested trying this forum.Â
I think all big change comes from where you are now. No change comes without pain so embrace it and have some faith that things will start to change for the better. Now better has never been winning the jackpot to pay yourself out of trouble. Better is being able to feel normal and going about your daily business and having your focus on other things than just gambling. Many here thinks that is tough to achieve but it is certainly not impossible. You need to beleive that you can get there and you will. Start by talking to the counsellors here and they will give you some nr to call. There is a lot of good stuff on the internet regarding gambling addiction and knowing what you are suffering from is never bad thing so educate yourself. A lot of people aparently stop all by themselves. Others need help. This forum has a lot of people with similair experiences to yourself. Reach out and get some contacts. We can not do this alone. And last but not least. Never give up and never surrender. It is all abou getting the right mindset for this journey. I can guarantee that you will come out stronger from it.
