A little unusual title I’ll give you that.

Me and my father went to see the Johnny Cash musical today. Hes a big fan of country music. The woman playing June Carter was fantastic and she really nailed the accent!

what im trying to say is i relate to her so much more than i thought. Her husband too struggled with addictions (albeit not the same ones) and she powered on. She managed to make it work before succumbing slightly herself in her later years.
my husband is a gambler. I am his wife, a June Carter, if you like. I can almost see a future where gambling might get me too.

i tried so hard to not cry in front of my dad, i really did.  It hit me once i got home.

The circle has beeeeenn broken…

Hi there,

really enjoyed chatting with you earlier. It’s refreshing to see someone so dedicated to helping the person they love. He is extremely lucky!

I just want to point out that you matter too! It’s so important that you make sure you take time for you; things you enjoy, things that make you happy and that your life doesn’t need to come second. You can be supportive and not lose yourself!

wishing you and your husband all the best in this rollercoaster of a journey!

Hiya

Please don't try to help him all on your own. There is plenty of support out there for affected others. You can't pour from an empty cup
