Hi all
My name is marc and here is a little bit of whats happening in my life right now. i work on the oil rigs in the north sea, good job, good pay. when i come home, i tend to go out with my friends to catch up and some how i always seem to find myself at the casino. i tend to play table games, roulette, 3 card poker that sort of stuff. i always tell myself i have a good job so i can afford this.
Now am sure like many of people on here, they know how fast £100 down can turn into £500 down on the chase to get your money back, im well known in the casino the majority of dealers know me so i always get a warm welcome.
So i find when i have been into the casino a few times my money seems to whittle down fast then i will end up lending (the dreaded payday loans) when family ask for a help with their finances. so now am stuck in the payday loan loop, where i repay the loan and then within a week i will be getting another to waste away.
My family and friends are aware i gamble but not the extent of what i do. i will lie and cover up my actions so they are not aware of my situation.
Anyway thanks for reading its nice to actually write down and get stuff off my chest
Marc
Have you asked yourself in what way do casinos contribute to the world anyway? It's a symptom of consumerism, and the slot machines and tables there are purely designed to give people the impression that they have a chance. It's a hoax, there are computers who decide when and how much the casinos can afford to allow someone to "win" now and then, just to keep the illusions alive.

You need to hate the gambling industry and treat it as your enemy, that is my way to recover ... the more feelings involved (and NOT only the knowledge), then you would stop, because you would hate it, hate every single bit of it ...
When we're addicted to something we might know it's bad for us, but knowing itself is not enough ... the feelings must be involved, and gambling make them numb, so wake them up.
It's like having a girlfriend who is gold-digger but you keep on being in a relationship with her because you are blind ... wake up!!
Please also read the book Gambling Facts and Fictions, it would help you to stop. You can find important material from the book here:
http://www.gamblingfactsandfictions.com/
And you can order the book for immediate read from Amazon, if you have Windows just download for free the Kindle App and buy the book for immediate read ... you can return the book to Amazon for full refund, and it costs only £2.60 Kindle version ... it helped me a lot ... it would educate you about what you do, every bit of it ... the next part would be more practical where your feelings are involved ... please try it.
Affected by gambling?
