Hi I am a mum of four and I have a bad gambling addiction, it all started after I was in a very bad relationship and was the victim if attempted murder by the father of my middle two boys! This left me struggling with the reality of what ha happened and dealing with the effects that this attack had on my children who witnessed this!!! I think this is when it all started!! I am not sure why I think maybe the escape by stressing about money an gambling or maybe trying to find a quick fix to my financial hardship. Needless to say it really has got way out of Hand and I have been struggling with these demons for nine Years now, I never think of the consequences until it's too late and then I am depressed to the pin I feel sick an ashamed of what I have become, I really need to change my life completely not just for me but my family too so this is my first real attempt to STOP x wish me luck x I will be joining the group I saw for the 2014 ambition thingy and be keeping that diary to write down my journey I really hope this helps as I really cannot go in like this anymore no matter what the reason x
Hi Shortie777 - You certainly have had your fair share of woe and no wonder you were looking for a quick financial fix and an escape from stress. But as you well know this horrible addiction just pulls us down further into the ****. So well done on taking positive steps to change your life for the better and for joining us here - I am sure you will start to feel better after just a few days of non-gambling.
