Hey

So I decided I had a problem with gambling a few days ago and spoke to someone on netline who has referred me to counselling. I did quit for 8 months before but a lot of my friends gamble (not to the same extent as me) and I fell back into the trap. I haven't told anyone how bad it is so I was hoping I could use this as an outlet to vent off to people who understand what I'm going through! Day 3 and counting. Sounds a miserable number after going 8 months but I suppose you have to start somewhere! Any advice would be appreciated.

Could be good idea to get more counselliing or time to get some more help? Could it be time to get some help from GA?

I'm a bit reluctant to go down the GA route as I know a couple of people that have been before and found it to be more about following God etc which I'm not keen on to be honest. Have you been? I'm definitely going to give the counselling a go.

GA isn't about God but there is a lot of help there. Lots of confusions about how GA works so why not go yourself and find out

Thanks guys. I'll see how the counselling helps and go from there. Still gamble free and feeling strong.
