Self excluding has to be the way forward

My losses are not ground breaking or has it put me in major debt, more annoying and frustration that these online casinos are so freely accessible to everyone nowadays and people are no doubt losing thousands. For me I have been playing blackjack on Lucky247 for the last few months, started making a 50 quid deposit and then went up to 100 deposit. The loss has creeped up to £1,500 and started to feel last night that it was esculating. I messaged the online help and asked them to self exclude me from the site last night and they replied saying we will credit my account with 50 quid to get me to continue playing and lose more money. I contacted Gamcare last night and self excluded for 5 years, tried logging into a load of websites tonight to chase the losses again and it does not allow me and I cannot reverse that now. Am gutted as did enjoy playing but would no doubt end up losing more and more, and that £500 cap i gave myself to lose, creeped up to £1,000 and then £1,500 and would no doubt have continued into the thousands. The self exclusion has to be a great way of stopping gambling online altogether immediately, so I urge anyone who feels the losses are creeping up to self exclude immediately. That 1500 quid could have been a holiday for me and my daughter and money I will never see again. We live and learn I guess, but we must all 'take responsibility' for our own actions. Thank you Gamcare for the self exclusion and now I am not a slave to these disgusting casinos wanting my hard earned cash, or the borrowed money in some cases. Good luck everyone and do the right thing. All the best

You may regret it when you have urges, it's natural, but the urges pass and you are thankful that life stays normal, no guilt, no depressed morning after feeling..without being with gamstop I would have failed, instead I'm free
