I've been thinking about those people on here and on GA that I've met in a short period of time. The ones I look up to and have that "I want to be like them" statement have a supreme serenity to themselves and their lives. They listen, learn and action every day.
What im thinking is that we all have the same inner strength. It matters not how old we are, how long we gambled for or on what, how long we are in recovery or how long bet free, we all have it.Â
There is good and bad in everyone and we weren't born gamblers, for whatever reason we chose a different path but the other way of living life is there for the taking. It just takes learning, reflecting and working on it.Â
I know for one that I'm happy to put maximum effort in foreverÂ
Well said Stuart it doesnt matter if your 20 or in your 80s changes can be made this is the beauty of recovery it a can change attitude it doesent matter what u did in your past or how much damage u did none of this matters it how u do things in the present and the actions u take determines how u are viewed i always believe in second chances one thing i noticed in recovery no matter how many times u fall has long has u are trying that all that mattersÂ
