Have you read the advice posted on this thread and around the forum?

If you want to stop it's time to act on it. If you just want to stop losing it isn't going to happen and the downward spiral will continue and accelerate with no bottom to the potential losses. If you're truly sick of it all there are things you can do which will block your access to gambling with immediate effect. The choice to do them or not is yours.

Hi

The recovery program was going to help me help myself, the recovery program was going to help me understand each time I gambled was a kind of self abuse.

The recovery program was going to help me understand that any thing of value in my life was going to come about by my healthy actions and by my healthy words.

The recovery program helped me understand that I was like a rat in a wheel going faster and faster getting no where healthy.

I am a non religious person and have been able to find a healthy spiritual life with out being religious.

Every action has consequences, every healthy action has healthy consequences, every unhealthy action has unhealthy consequences.

The recovery program works for any one who is fully committed towards healthy living.

I found out that time off my addictions did not mean that my inner child was healed.

Once I put a lot of time and effort in to my recovery and handed over all of my finances and started to abstain my recovery was going to become much easier.

The money was just the fuel for my addiction.

I did not respect myself and I did not respect money.

I was unable to show appreciation and gratitude sincerely.

Each time I went back to my addictions I needed to understand what was my last emotional trigger.

Please keep going to meetings, you will benefit from it in so many ways.

Love and peace to every one.

Hi joecpfc,

Sorry to hear you've done it again. Am i right you haven't done self exclusion ? or if you have how did you manage to gamble. Maybe the question you should be asking yourself is Are you really sick & tired of gambling or simply sick of losing, there's a difference between the two. Until proper blocks are put in place & handing over the finances to someone else, the chances of conquering this addiction are not good. CGs are incapable of handling money, they see it as chips to finance the next gamble. Believe me gambling isn't ever going to finance mothers birthdays presents or take you're girlfriend on holiday. Lethe's spot on if you continue you'll fall into a bottomless pit of despair & trust me clawing your way back out is no easy task.

Sincere Best Wishes

AL
