I just want to say thank you to everyone’s support on here to my posts. It really does help not feel alone.

I have thought long and hard about this and decided to try my best to ride the storm with my debt and carry on chipping away at it. Stepchange were really supportive on the phone but with the impact it would have on my credit score for 5-6 years isn’t personally the right solution for me.

My plan is to carry on smashing my debt with my £1100 monthly payments. By the end of 2027 my loans will be paid off,  releasing £530. With my outstanding credit card debt that will be then roughly around £20k outstanding by then. I will then also have around £120k equity in my home, to which I plan to move house,  pay off my outstanding debt and then use the 100k as a deposit for a smalll detached house.

Therefore in 909 days - my goal is to have this awful addiction of the last 10 years and 250k losses behind me and finished.

Thank you once again.
