Hi Dav111

I understand how disappointed you must feel. However, you being gamble free for 2 years is remarkable.

Accept the relapse for what it is; a simple relapse. It's horrible and disappointing, however it does not take away your great achievement of being gamble free over the last 2 years.

Today you get back on track to a gamble free future. You know you can do it.

I wish you every success.

Hi Dav.

First off well done on 2 years That’s a great achievement and don’t forget this.

Sorry to hear about your relapse but don’t be too harsh on yourself. The addiction is always there and you’re only human. The fact is you are back here which is great as it shows you want to take forward steps after a slight blip.

Well done on your two years, and well done for seeking help here.

I relapsed twice myself in the past, I got great words of wisdom from a GA member that 'I now need to look closely at what caused this and make steps to amend this and try and prevent it from happening again' so it is great to be bet free but we need to look at our behaviour and mindset as these need to change otherwise more relapses are inevitable.

Do you attend GA meetings yourself?

Hi Dav111.

Sorry to hear you have relapsed. But can I just say fair play. 2 years, that is something to be proud of. I still haven't made it past the 3 week mark and when I make it past payday im having a party. So get back on the horse and be proud. I
