Throughout my addiction for over a decade and many failed attempts at quitting, you are only 1 bet away from returning back to the devil.

There is always a new foreign betting site that has opened and like a switch I am back in this awful cycle again of thousands lost. Why did I have that moment of madness of even searching for a betting site, I had no need to do it.

I had reached nearly 200 days gamble free, I felt amazing, back to old self that I can remember all those years ago without anxiety.

Now I return back to the sleepless nights and battling through each day knowing I have failed and let myself down and also the wonderful people on here that have supported me along the way.

I was less than 3 years of being Debt free and now I have added another 2 years by losing control.

Sorry to everyone that has supported me.

Hi King,

No need to apologise. This journey will have many ups and downs.

Sorry to hear that you have relapsed but it’s not the end of the world. Regain your focus and remember your end goal….that will be the happy life.

I personally have relapsed many times and I think no one can ever say they won’t again. All you can do is try to remain focused and remember what this terrible addiction does to you financially and mentally.

Stay positive and at the end of the day it’s only money which will come and go forever and isn’t the key to happiness.

Good luck 🤞🏻

Hey

Dont need to apologise just learn. You really need to know that once you've quit you can't go back. I became complacent a few years back and I've learnt now I don't want to be there again. Im so determined to beat this and you can too. That's the only dopamine rush you'll need is quitting. You'll see how much better off your gonna be.

Sorry for rambling. You can do this!!

King,

Sorry to hear you've had a blip and it's taken you back to a place that you didn't want to be in, but this is an opportunity for you to take the positives from this negative and start again.

Next time you get an urge, remember how going back to gambling made you feel. Remember the sleepless nights, the anxiety it caused and use that as your new motivation.

The additional debt is not ideal but, as always, focusing on what we've already lost won't bring it back. The satisfaction you'll get from seeing that number reduce over time will hopefully soften the blow.

You have been supportive to me throughout the start of my journey, I hope I can return the favour as you get back up from this stumble and continue on yours.

Stay strong. 💪🏾

Hi King.

Sorry to hear about your slip but please do focus on the 200 gf days you mastered!👏. You can do this again 🙏.

Sometimes it takes most of us on here a fair few blips and another few thousands of pounds lost, to realise that there is just no point trying to “win” anymore as we all know the ultimate outcome 👎.

You were winning much more than in monetary terms - you had your life back, you could sleep at night, you had less anxiety, you felt better in yourself both mentally and physically. This is what winning is about.  Write these down somewhere or on here and remind yourself of these regularly.

You have lost money yes but you can win and gain so much more if you jump back on that g.f train and enjoy the ride once more.  We are here to support you.

Take care.

Mate, 1 day out of 200 is a huge win. Before it would have been 200 days out of 200. One blip does not define you.

The thing I would focus on is that the 1 day blip has added 2 years to your debt. How can that ever make sense. Focus on the ridiculous nature of that fact and get rid of this habit once and for all. Another slip, another 2 years. Keep that up and you’ll never be free.

It’s amazing how much of a set back 1 day can cause; but it’s also amazing how powerful that 1 setback can be. Use that and move on. You can beat this. You have already beat this. Don’t let this minor slip bring you down.

Stay strong 💪
