Day 33 of being Gamble Free today and checking in early for me today [so Day 37 on Sat PM] as a busy weekend in place and I don't want to forget!

Stay strong all - I am sure Mr B has some interesting projections & stats if we all stick to this path by 31:12:14 at the current %'s! personal goals aside ~ the collective goal is somewhat greater!

Hey everyone just checking in....12 days gamble free so im pretty pleased with myself for now..still staying strong.

Hi checking in on Day 109...mind been consumed by debts the past couple of days...when I started this 109 day stint my aim was to get to the 28th of this month when financially I would be holding a few more cards. Well that day is almost upon me and I have to say having money and knowing what to do with it is as much of a head f**k as not having any and trying to find some! Do I pay off the husbands credit cards that are at zero interest rate but reduce the risk of getting caught or do I pay off my high interest loan and then have a bit more expendable cash each month to put towards the credit cards?! I think I know what I'm going to do I just hope I don't live to regret it. The other good thing about paying the loans off is that I can't re-spend this money like I could if I paid a few k off the credit cards and in the interest of reducing access to large amounts of cash it ticks that box. Plus my credit rating is rubbish so there's no way id get accepted for another loan anytime soon! So things are going to be good....I think. Just got to get through the next 2.5 weeks and I should be in a much more solid place with an even bigger light at the end of the tunnel.

Checking in on day 32 I believe. I must say it's been a lot easier than I thought going a month free. I never really bet on international games so that's played a part. Challenge will be when season kicks off again.

I've been struggling to sleep for the past few weeks so I presumed it was just debt worries but I've got that sorted and I'm still struggling, even after going for a run. Just hope I get my sleep pattern sorted soon because I'm getting seriously tired haha.

Just a really quick post to say hi to all the troops and well done to everyone for staying strong despite all the temptations, trials and tribulations.

Shorty - I think you've answered your own questions by the time you got to the end of your post - reading between the lines anyway! I think you're making the right call for what it's worth!

I've updated the front page and welcome to the new soldiers! Half way through the week and just under half of the required check ins after what's been a pretty quiet couple of days. Great to see the newer soldiers checking in early!

Will post again in the next couple of days when hopefully we've made some headway towards the "50" number that bornagain refers to!!

Hopefully extra time will be better than the 90 minutes that's gone before it!!

hi everyone.

checking in on day 43. can't believe how quick the time has gone really. passed the first 6 week mark.

best wishes to everyone who is fighting the urge to gamble and succeeding and those that aren't succeeding, start again at day 1.

Has anyone else used what I'll call 'non gambling' to help them along? I've just been dealing out some poker hands and it's helped me relax for the last couple of days. No gambling involved but just the feeling had helped me along?

Checking in day 13. Still absolutely no thoughts of gambling. This is the new me and I'm no longer a gambler. 🙂

well the sun is shining, just finished work for the day and checking in on day 42 i think! wow 7 whole weeks without gambling i could never have imagined that when I first began my recovery!

my parents have been away all week leaving me money to myself and i've come through this challenge no real thoughts of gambling aside from monday and definitely no desire to!

Really looking forward at the moment and excited for the future

39 days whoop. Im so Sorry Mr B i am traveling and don't always have Internet access, so this is a very late check in sorrry.

I am traveling a lot, due to this its almost impossible to get onto the Internet but when i do, i am always checking in as bets i can. I am doing great but part of that reason is im so busy so have had zero time to think about gambling. I know this for sure tho, i am easily going to make it to 50 days clean and am very excited to maybe get a mention from Mr Brightside with honors lol.

Morning everyone!!

Ok.........so firstly, apologies that it's been a really quiet week for me........a 60+ hour week has been pretty draining. By the looks of the activity on the thread this week, it would seem that combinations of the great weather, football, holidays and other commitments have put us at risk of seeing a pretty poor retention week - there's about 20 soldiers missing this week............

I'm going to have to work tomorrow as well, so I'm struggling by way of time for the update. I will get something on at some point, but it'll be factually based and update on the numbers and stats. Any suggestions for a feature for next weeks?

I'm really hoping that we a wave of check ins - while I know that many of the missing soldiers will be fine but busy, I never take it for granted.........and we made a commitment to each other..........

still deposit gambling free but a v busy time - hoping to change jobs. I did play a free bonus last night but lost it of course.
