Having a low crappy day today, but no excuse to gamble I'll just deal with it! Like all normal mere mortals do!

Checking in on Day 32 gamble-free.

1. Online bingo ....found it too slow-moving so moved on to online slots. In the end played them both at the same time !!!

2(a) Self exclusion stopped the vicious cycle

(b) Joining this site and seeing the words "I cannot win because I cannot stop. So simple but I had been saying "But I might win".

(c). Learning as much as I can so that I don't replace bingo/slots with another form of gambling which seems innocent enough but can escalate. I wish to live without any form of gambling.... not even the *****.

A massive congratulations to Gladsdad on the 100 days and joining the Century Club!! I remember it very well when you joined the challenge GD........and it's just amazing to see the changes in your tone and outlook!!

fitzy - I've probably got it wrong.......but I've got you down as celebrating the 50 days today! If I have got it wrong then you'll be congratulated 2 days in a row!! It's a massive milestone fitzy and while things may seem like s***e still, it will get easier as you see the next pay day coming around and see that you are lighter in debt and happier in mind rather than the exact opposite to that!!

Baggins, Elfie, GamAddict, SuzyLemon and RST - absolutely superb answers and sound advice for those joining us to be taking and putting into action. It's frightening the trend among some of our ladies.......bingo.......online bingo.........most probably a "free offer" for a shot on the slots.....and the rest is history. Thanks for the contributions folks - the "evidence" of our success is growing and I'm pretty sure we will leave a legacy for the next generations of GamCare users when we have moved on.

Half-Life - I'm going to start a thread on the New Members Forum tonight that when I get the chance I'll begin copying and pasting survey results and key posts from the challenge across to so that there's a repository for new visitors to go to. You are welcome here any time - hope you and the other half are still going strong and winning in a brand new way!

I gambled on horses and dogs to start with but my serious gambling was bingo and roulette

When i cut one head off another two grew out of it

as for what helps most similar to Mr B honesty was and still is very important. Its very easy to think i've got this sorted and gambling isn't a problem any more

124 days bet free but i still want to gamble some days

secondly like my handle take one side of the triangle out and its harder to gamble.

Just a quick update on Mr B's "questions"

1 - slot machines ..starting when on holiday when younger on space invaders and progressing onto 1p slots and onto the 500 jackpot machines - my biggest problem was that I actually enjoyed sitting there playing these vile things - ( I only hurt when losing large amounts)

2- I knew after many an argument and cross words with myself that enough was enough !!

I always though I was strong enough inside to beat this thing ( G A was my last 'help' but it no longer exists in my area now)

But after "so many it's my last day gambling"

This place brought me shelter - it's the guiding light in a very dark sky, follow it, keep focused on it and it will shine a light to a happier place.

Thanks MR B. I agree they are my favourite band and they walk with me through all the highs and lows of my life!

Just a quick update had two really bad days at work awful! but...for the first time I can remember I didn't turn to gamble I didnt even think about it didn't even want to. Feel right now that despite whatever comes across my path all the hard work and barriers have put in place have got me in a good place!

I forget what day of recovery it is now but know the 50 day mark is approaching soon!

Will post some answers to your questions when I get more spare time!

I am so happy guys! i would never believe i can be one week away from 50 days. I am in a good place and loving life. Just about to take family to Europe for a few days. I am spoiling my baby so much because of the stupid waste of time gambling, it cost me quality time with him. I need to shower my wife with all the goodies in life, flowers, shoes, fine dinning. I know i come across so positive and some of you are suffering, i don't apologize for that, i want to show you that if you work hard at it you can feel like me again.

Day 116....feeling good, feeling positive the next 4 days are defo in the bag as I'm away on a mini break 🙂 I swear when I get out of this mound of debt there is gonna be some serious living to be done!!!!! The end is in sight and that's what I need to focus on.

hey everyone checking in on day 18 🙂 wow i actually feel pretty good today..almost out of the overdraft..just a few more weeks and soon things can hopefully go back to normal so fingers crossed..and then i can put this miserable addiction behind me with great support

Hi all,Massive apologies for the last 4 weeks,I have a new job and am adapting to not working at all to working an average of 55 hours a week,still gamble free on day 86 (I think....last gamble was 26th April),Will make all the effort I can to get on regularly

Thanks Mr B - still deposit gambling free. If I had won, I would have withdrawn - the bonus was 30. I stated if I made it to 50, I would have withdrawn all. Obviously, I never reached that but they aint getting anymore of my cash!!

What does deposit gambling free mean? Are you still gambling?

Triangle - If I am reading onlineplayer correctly I think bonuses are being used without any deposits being made - sounds very dangerous to me! I hope I'm wrong, onlineplayer...
