I am on day 2 and have already started my new member post as well as asked how to start my diary and to tell my story for my own recovery. I have started to reply to some posts too. You will find i will post a lot. I would love to hit a milestone which in 39 yrs i have never met and that is 50 days free of gambling.

Nice to meet you all CasinoLoser.

Hi team,

Checking in on over 15 weeks now. Last week was really bad for me, as its looking like my 6 year relationship may be finally over. Finding it hard to understand my ex's decisions at the moment, but I try. To be honest its all I think about and its driving me insane... I could not be further away from gambling however.

Ringerbell - I think what you are doing is a marvellous idea and so much respect goes out to you for this. The benefits you will soon see will most certainly push you further away from this addiction.

Rst18 - I know how it is with exams and gambling can sometimes be a nice break from studying. This would be the case for a non compulsive gambler, but unfortunately you dont fall into that category. Try to find something intefesting to do that you will look forward to do before starting your studies. That way, when you take a break it will feel like one because you can do something you were looking forward to. For example cooking, TV, games consoles, whatever floats your boat really.

Mr B - Hang on in there, time will pass and your situation will improve. You have proven to many that your a strong leader and We ALL count on you to remain strong. Just remember how many people your helping abstain from this problem. Thats what I wanted to achieve by coming here and I respect you so much for this.

Redeemed - Massive congrats on your milestone 🙂

And to everyone else, Hello and have a nice week.

Scambling

Hi Scambling - so sorry to read of your troubles, but it's a remarkable proof of your fortitude that you have not gambled and are still giving support to others. I hope things start to look a little brighter for you soon.

Mr B - you have given such strength to the team - I hope that we can sustain you too if you are going through a bad patch. We miss you! I have become addicted to my regular fix of Mr B - please let us know how you are.

Hello there. Would it be ok for me to join in this challenge. I think it could help me. I've got to fight this addiction with everything this time or I don't know what is going to happen to me. I've returned to these forums today after a few years away and feel totally rock bottom. Today is day one.

hi just checking in today is day 13 for me. feeling just a bit wobbly. superstition i think. have done loads of housework been to the gym, starting to take interest in other (normal) things now. flat looking much better now, new flooring in bathroom being fitted today. would have reserved the money for gambling if still in action. actually pleased, have done loads of stuff / cleaning that i wouldnt have been bothered to do if in action, that obsession would have obscured the need for everything else.

Checking in on day 99, want this to be the last time I ever have to post on here in double digits. Tomorrow brings three figures, but for however well I am doing I am only ever one day away from a bet. I won't get complacent, I will keep the barriers up and I will keep fighting and keep winning!

Thanks to everyone on this challenge for making it what it is. For all the new members I will say you need to stick at this. I struggled so much at first but have made so much progress. Its worth the fight and it does get easier!
