No gambling, not even a go on the T*****a!!!!

Hello everybody, this is my second post just to confirm that I'd like to join your challenge if you'll have me. Well done to everyone some really impressive numbers in the previous few posts and it makes me feel a bit daft for feeling so happy to be into my 5th day with out weakening. Still I had to start somewhere I suppose, stay strong everybody.

Sun is shining and life feels good!!

I am getting wireless but it's very temperamental - must be a female - lol!! If that doesn't prompt a retort from Joanna then nothing will 🙂 My only jobs for the next fortnight are to have fun, drink beer, check in and update the front page - the latter will be the most difficult!

Well done to everyone so far this week - dot - you're still here mate, just learn and fight again soldier. We're over half way through the week and slightly more than half of the troops have arrived safely at camp!! More please!!!

Tomorrow is the start of the weekend folks - just over 48 hours before bornagain's interogegnum - lol!! Just shut your eyes mate!! Lol!!

Day 167 checking in for this week

Enjoy your holiday Mr B and thanks to Bornagain for taking charge for a while. Not posted alot lately, but I read almost daily. Very busy in my life at the moment, but enjoying it and feel very far away from gambling 🙂

Day 157 check in. Hope your holidays going well Mr B. Good to see so many check ins coming in, keep them coming, I would like a 100% retention rate this week.

As for me I am struggling along. Lifes pretty grim for the rest of the year financially and it is getting me down. But its in my hands, and once 2015 comes round I will be debt free.

I got an email this week to say I had been awarded a free 500 pound bet on the champions league final off a company that I have given a lot of money to in the past. I have thought long and hard about this and ended up calling them and self excluding. I was pretty close to sticking it on a bet as I was thinking if it wins I can cash out and its 'free money'. But I can't risk it, it could suck me back in so I think I made the right choice.

Don't think i could have risked it either.

There is no such thing as a free bet to me

I try not to forget that the industry spends millions trying to retain their best customers and keep them on the hook so to speak

To me this seems exactly what they are doing.

I agree with triangle Phil - re-ignite the fire for a small cost and low and behold they've had 10/1 from their investment. Shower of utter and total dirty money grabbing bar stewards. Emotional outburst over.

have had so many slips over the last 3/4 years am really fed up with it all.I hate bookies and I hate all casinos,evil places

yes I can win money but I cant stop, that's my problem, pressing a button on slots takes no skill.

and we all know the longer you play the more you will lose.

I want to stop, I need to stop, and I will stop.

Good morning to all,

Checking in on 163 gamble free days. Great to see everyone is continuing with their own individual challenges and collectively we are progressing at a great rate of knots.

I am spending the weekend in London with my family visiting the sights. Since stopping gambling it's now all about giving back to those family and friends I had affected in one way or another.

Keep going everyone and have a great weekend.
