Sorry for late check in phil. Truth be told I think it might be time for me to leave the challenge, I don't be on the forum much these days as recovery is going well and because of this I'm failing to keep up with the simply request of checking in once a week

Morning troops the update is on its way, I was far too tired after work last night to get it done. Ringerbell, congratulations on your progress and the challenge is always open for you if you wish to rejoin. I hope things continue to go so well for you.

Challenge Update Week 26

Intro

This coming week brings the halfway point in the challenge so a huge well done to everybody for making it this far. The first six months has laid the foundations for a good 2015 and by finishing it off strongly we will really reap the rewards and get so much more from life. There have been so many incredible milestones achieved throughout the year and I look forward to them becoming even more impressive in the remainder of the year.

We head into week 26 with 51 soldiers safely checked in and 4 troops missing in action. It really does take me much longer when I have to remove and then add missing soldiers, please check in on time troops, once a week isn’t much to ask and it makes my job so much easier. Sadly nobody responded to my task for the week in last week’s update so if anyone read it and is wondering why there’s nothing from other soldiers in this week’s update its because nobody emailed me.

Missing Soldiers

junebug1981, Stephen2105, cloud and tt1980 you all missed check in. Hope you are all well and get safely checked in again soon. If anyone needs support you can contact me on [email protected] or use the Gamcare chatroom 8-9pm every day and on a Wednesday we try to make it a group get together run by Sergeant triangle.

Milestones In The Coming Week

SierraJuliet reaches three months gamble free today, well done soldier!!

Greggsboy today, Mo and insanity on Wednesday and barryt27 on Friday all bring up a very impressive 6 months, halfway there troops and very well done!!

John64 hits 400 days next Saturday, really big numbers and life must be so much better for you pal, congratulations!!

Summing Up

Halfway through this and we are going strong with around 50 of us checking in each week. We are saving money, making family members proud and reclaiming life and living it. Just keep on going and amazing things will happen for all of us. Well done for 6 months of battle, we are all in a much better position to fight for the remaining 6 months of 2015.

Thanks đŸ™‚
My name is Alannah, I am a compulsive gambler of slot machines. I joined this forum a while back but never stuck to posting or to abstaining from gambling.
Today is day 4 for me gambling free. My gambling life now feels like death by a thousand cuts, and I can't do it anymore if I want to survive...not just financially but emotionally and for my health.
I hate this disease even more than I hate the cancer I was operated on for last October. I hold deep shame that when life knocked me down badly so many times over the years, instead of helping myself I added to my burdens with this affliction.
Mizz sensible two shoes as I was most of ny life, ended up at the opposite end of the spectrum with the havoc I have brought into my life these past years.
I really hope to find a way out of this dark place now and start to live again. Acceptance seems to be what I have lacked previousy....acceptance that I cannot win because I cannot stop.
Love to all, Alannah x
