Hi all,

Please see below the days free total to Sunday night. I was away for the weekend and only got home about 1am this morning. Tired but a great stag-do in Portugal. Great to have peace of mind and just enjoy spending time with friends without any deviousness or scheming.

Big congrats to both Tom_2015 and xmercx for joining the triple figures club...that's great progress.

24 people checked in this week with no new joiners: hope that 9 that haven't checked in this week are safe but the challenge remains open to them should they ever wish to rejoin.

Thanks Gary,

Checking in on 751 days.

Life really is getting better and better, that gambling fog really has lifted at this time,

Well done to everyone on the challenge, :))

The only way to go forwards and upwards is to keep abstaining and maintaining, :))

Have a good strong gambling free week troops.

Hello All

I would like to join this challenge. Today is Day 1 again for me. I have tried numerous times in the past to stop my gambling but relapsed each time losing thousands of pounds. Finally I self excluded myself from all offline casinos in the UK but starting gambling online. I finally self excluded myself from online casinos too and hoping to start fresh with the aim of zero gambling this year from today. Wish you all the very best.

Sure that won't be a problem Shattered. there is a lot of experience on this forum. My suggestion try and post your declaration on here at the same time each week? that way it gives you a bit of structure in your recovery. All the best . Tri

Welcome to shattered79. You sound like you're ready to make yourself gamble free. We, as compulsive gamblers, must all get to that point where we are ready to give it all up completely. You've self excluded. That's a good start but do try to ensure you cannot gamble by adding extra blocks in place if you can. For instance, I have gambling blocking software on my phone and get a close friend to set the password on this. It really helps me to overcome gambling urges when I know I've made it impossible to gamble online from my home. I'm checking in on day 16 which is the longest I've been gamble free for a couple of months. Last year I made a couple of hundred days (can't remember exactly how many days) but I feel finally ready to resume and continue walking this gamble free path once again.

I hope everyone else is coping well with any gambling urges.

Checking in. Day 49 to busy to gamble of late but I must say it has been a tougher week, stressful at work and home and just wanted a release I think but that would open many many more problems than it would solve as we all know to well. Plenty of other ways to relax and get away from it other than being miserable in a dodgy old betting shop.
