Day 117. Again, no urges but it's still early days isn't it. Feeling positive and spending time doing other things. Good luck with more gf days.

Hi

Sorry for the late check in, had a couple of thoughts this week, shook me a bit after so long without gambling, it just goes to show that we can't get complacent, I stayed strong and moved on....phew

Glads dad in and looking forward to 600 days

Hi all,

Back to a Monday update after a few Tuesday's.

Please see below the lates days count to midnight last night. Congrats to Mr Stop this week for going through the 500 day barrier this week.

I'm doing great...managed to get on the golf course again yesterday but think I've given myself some mild heatstroke. My own fault for being ill prepared.

Wishing you all a great week ahead.

Hi Gary,

I'd like to join the challenge please.

I'm currently on day 5 of my gamble free life.

10 months ago I went to Ascot races on a stag do, I got drunk, and emptied my savings and bank account.

Since then I've chased losses, worked hard, and had a constant battle.

This weekend it caught up with me, my partner of 4 years left me. Says we've fallen out of love. I know it's down the the gambling. Constantly being closed up and hiding my struggles, lacking the openess and intimacy that a relationship needs.

I have vowed for the final time to give up. I hate it for what its caused. I have self excluded from every single online site. Come clean to my parents at exactly what I have in my account and savings, so I know it can't drop again it can only go up. I'm going to get self exclusion forms from highstreet bookmakers that I used to go in. I really don't feel I need them right now as I'm so focused and determined, but going to have the extra safety net.

I'm going to post on here to keep me going.

Can't wait to hit the goals of 10 days, 50 days, 100 days, I know I will succeed this time.

Thanks for reading.

122 days free. I actually forgot to login and update, that's how little I think about gambling these days.

I just want to thank Gary for starting this thread. It's really, really helped me. To that end, rather than just disappear I'm letting you know I won't be checking in any more. I'm feeling very good and want to continue the natural progression away from this, that's how I feel so going to go with it.

I will update on the site further down the line to update how I'm getting on, hopefully to show others giving up can be done (as many already show).

All the best everyone.
