Following my xmas 2018 post i've been listening to Eminem music today ( 64 years old and i love him ). My wife has suggested i contact Gamcare maybe i can get counselling for that too lol. It's all about discovering new things about one's self, not just diversions from gambling.Â
Not quite home yet, but i feel such a freedom, a calmness and a sense of relief. I CAN AND I WILLÂ escape from the madness of gambling, As each day passes i discover something new about myself. There's so much more to life than being trapped in a bubble, feeling isolated, alone and thinking i'm a one man freak show too ashamed to tell anyone.Â
The things that most folk think of as normal every day life like listening to music, reading a library book or doing a crossword puzzle have all become new discoveries for me. I know it might sound boring but this morning yet again when i woke i told myself JUST FOR TODAY I WILL NOT GAMBLE, some days are easier than others but that's how i've discovered myself, how to find pleasures in the most simple things in life and it's why i thank god every day for not reminding me of what i've lost, but what i still have & what i've found as the cancer of addiction is slowly peeled away layer by layer. Right now i'm listening to my favourite COLDPLAY song FIX YOU.
