I started CBT counselling. I'm Ihalfway through and was so skeptical about it.  It's really changing my thought processes.

The last few days I've felt so sad. I really missed gambling. Last night I did another module and it's stuck with me.

I've realised I'm winning by not gambling.  I'm learning healthy ways to kick the habit, and for a first time in a long time I scored healthy on my physchiatric distress.

I'm ok day 116 and I'm really starting to see everything clearly and I never want to go back.

Stay strong all

YOU CAN DO THIS ♥️

Hi @Spendlikewater84

Thank you for sharing this post. I personally haven't yet gone to CBT counselling but is something I'd like to learn more about. Being gamble free is a roller-coaster ride we're all firm riders of and moods/urges can change from minute to minute. Don't worry, you're not alone on that front, it's normal (if ever normality is a real thing).

That's the way I think of it, by not placing a bet, that's the real jackpot win. It allows for a stable and happy future for me and my loved ones and no sum of money could ever buy that. Congratulations on your testing, that's great news and shows the internal strength you posses. Keep sharing your journey as strength in numbers conquers all. I've been struggling a little the last couple of days and your story and positivity certainly helps.

Do you attend your local Gam-Anon sessions? These really help me and by sharing your CBT theories at these forums, you can also provide guidance to others.

For today I will not gamble. Stay strong.
