today was my 8th day gamble free. Longest i have gone in around a year.
I am in a whats app group with all my mates and they were all posting there tips for the day at epsom downs.. the majority of them came in. one of my mates 1000 up and the others over 500 up. I didnt crumble and resisted to bet which i am pleased about but had the urge massively and when they all won i was gutted i didnt have a bet.
anyway needed to get that off my chest. nearing the end of another bet free day.

thanks for the kind words it means alot and your right hopefully it will make me the winner in the long run but can only go one day at a time as i am doing.
i would leave the chat but they are my friends and the talk only usually turns to gambling on a weekend.

Hi James, massive achievement to not gamble in the face of that. I guess I've got to a point now where seeing anyone win in any form does not make me a green eyed monster anymore. As a CG I'd only lose it anyway, so a win is just the start of another spiral of misery. I know it's hard to ignore but maybe if you know the post on what's app about gambling at weekend don't read, get to sun mon and clear the chat. All the best my friend
Your mates will boast about when they win but like most gamblers, you never hear much about when they lose. Personally, after only 8 days you are best avoiding conversations about gambling and winning money. At the moment, stopping feels like a negative as if you are being deprived of something but over time you will realise that stopping is a positive thing and you can enjoy the fact you aren't throwing more money away.
